does anyone else like stomping people in pvp enabled sandbox servers by using the HL2 SMG to grenade jump after spawning in 7 armor batteries and a shitload of SMG grenadessure the damage seems bad on paper but it’s good for finishing off people after you soften them up with grenadesi find it to be the best of all hl2 guns for sandbox PVPpistol is garbage, magnum requires targets to be stationary, AR2 is alright but it has too low of a sustained fire rate after reloading and its alt fire is only useful indoors, shotgun has too little effective range and surprisingly disappointing damage, crossbow is near useless against fast moving targets, and RPG missiles take too long to travel, leave you vulnerable while one is in flight, and only work well against grounded foesand I think it’s one of the only hl2 guns that can stay competitive with addon weapons which tend to have much greater damage and range than vanilla equivalents
