Jedi can have sex, because you can have sex without forming attachments. If you look at it as fun stress relief with no strings attached, then there's nothing actually explicitly forbidding it in the jedi code.

That said, most jedi are abstinent, because sex is an easy way to grow attached to a person without meaning to, through the natural intimacy that comes with sex. You start out with it being no strings attached fun, but it becomes something more by accident over time. This happens to people in real life all the time too.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the "no strings" thing doesn't apply to everyone. Luke Skywalker, Jolee Bindo, and Qui-Gon Jinn all had waifus that they loved very much, and they are all among the best jedi ever. Being an emotionally mature person will allow you to juggle the attachment of love with the impartiality of the light side. you can do both, it's just tough. Most people are emotionally immature, so it's easier to just say "no don't do love at all" because lots of people can't handle it so just say don't even try helps lots of people. But we see many examples of exceptional individuals who did fine with both.

I'm not seeing other people posting about this on the usual places like the swtor discord and reddit so I assume it's me. I think I had some other issue a few years ago too. I think my character with Lana has been bugged before. But what makes me scared is it looks like 3 out of 3 of my characters at this point in the game and paired with these characters seem to be bugged. Well well well. Look at what we have here.

So a couple days ago it wasn't working for me, no alert, nothing. So I subscribed to see if that was a factor, and nothing changed. Reset all my active missions, everything I could think of. Nothing happened. All my characters just didn't have a new alert.

So I paid attention to reddit and the discord and stuff, and sure enough, today someone mentioned a rumor that if you replay chapter 9 The Alliance and you redo the flirt scene, that it actually does sort of "refresh" checking your romance status. Even though it's not supposed to, normally replaying chapters or missions doens't change anything and only the first time you play it matters, so I didn't think to do this, but apparently this is different or something. But I'm not questioning it, because it worked.

I'm so happy. I'm about to launch it.

yeah i do sm ops daily, mostly the usuals dread palace & dread fortress, karaggas palace etc. Then a weekly nefra/dash nim run for a few rakata gears, ive played all the campaigns through with all imperial side characters except bounty hunter which is still in progress. Also played all the expansions with my first char sith warrior, found them very enjoyable despite the sort of repetitive combat. Somehow it felt really soul and like a nice break from current year shit games that ive been trying for a while now. Ive done all operations on sm and most of them on vm as well and i dont see myself getting bored of it anytime soon.

I'm tired of the DoT meta bros. I don't know why the devs think maintaining DoTs on a singke target is hard and warrants the massive DPS disparity.

Decided to try out TOR finally cause I felt like it, I did try it out once in like 2015 so a good while ago and I was a Jedi Sage I vaguely remembered what the Jedi Starter planet looked like, and that I got a Trandoshan companion then I remember wandering around the Republic fleet for a bit, heading to Corscant, taking a taxi and thats it. So that was my entire experience outside of trying it from this week.

I decided to go fuck it and try out each of the classes and go through the start planet just to see which classes and story I am most interested in. I haven't done all of them but I'll jot down my thoughts now here for you all of the ones that I've done and then update it later.

Some general thoughts:
>Its cool that after you choose your class, you choose a specialization with quite a few options. I think thats new? I may be misremembering but I don't remember that in 2015 it was just you choose your class and thats it.
>The cash shop seems fair. I mean still predatory with silly nickle and dime stuff but a lot better than modern cash shops you can tell they launched it in the early 2010s. I like the idea of if you sub for just one month you get a whole lot of shit unlocked, and you can work to unlock other races.
>They seem to make bank on special snowflake lightsaber colors which makes sense
>Holy shit guild recruitment is crazy, there's always guild adds and guild invites, never expected that. But I managed to join a guild on every single character so far.

So here are the ones I've done so far

Jedi Knight (Mirialan, Guardian):

Apologies Anon, I didn't know we had newfags to spoil. The last two expansions are where the game gets really terrible. You may want to make a Jedi/Sith for the Eternal Empire expansions otherwise the story can feel kind of stupid. KOTET in particular is really rushed and takes a nosedive in quality compared to the KOTFE but is still serviceable.

You don't have to do that in order to continue. You can leave the quest to do that operation in your questlog for whenever you get around to it, and continue with the story.

How do I know I finished the iokath storyline, I've come back after 2 years and don't remember if I finished it or not I just have the story mode iokath operation in my mission log. I don't want to accidentally skip any of the solo story missions btw that includes story flashpoints. Also how do I start the story missions on Ossus, I can't find anything about Ossus on my ship?

I only have 2 achievements left to get, and one of them is just the one for being dark side lol. I've gotten the hard ones like master mode chapters, but I refuse to be dark side.

Some day, I will make a throwaway character and just do diplomacy missions to get darkside points then immediately delete the character, but today is not that day.

The data pad on the personal ship that you're supposed to interact with to repeat the date mission says ineligible to interact with it. Always something with this game...

I guess I'll try repeating chapter 9 to see if that fixes it, since that's what fixed the original alert not appearing, but I'm not sure it'll work for the datapad to repeat the mission.

My game is so bugged I guess.

Jedi Consular (Miralukan, Sage):

There's a mission where you have to activate droids to scan Fa'thara's palace for exploitable passages. You can be smuggled into the palaces on Quesh through the sewer.
