Hey game bros, I'll share a story with Dota 2 and am pleading for help...
> Was really into dota since 2007
> Played all day long with my buddies and was having a blast
> Before dota 2 come out played hon
> Played dota 2 until 2015
> Is a poor fag so my PC couldn't handle it anymore and I couldn't play anymore
> Fast forward to nowadays - I have a job and making my own money
> Decided to buy a new PC for gaming and Dota cuz nostalgia is still strong with me:
AMD Ryzen™ 9 7900 (12-core), BOX 5.4 GHz
32 GB DDR5 5200 MHz
2 TB M.2 (2280) M.2 NVMe SSD
PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 XLR8 Gaming VERTO Dual Fan OC
Windows 11
> Am covering the requirements and am running the game on max settings no problem. Am able to play other games with no problem
> Am still unable to play Dota 2 tho
> Game runs for about 5 mins and one of the following always happens:
- Game crashes with no errors and is unable to download content afterwards(most common). Steam is also unable to verify files integrity(stays at 0%) and works after 15 mins when it is too late
- Game crushes with error that pak01.vpk is corrupted (I cannot even locate this file in the steam files) (rare)
- Game crushes and resets my pc (rare)
> Got 3 abandons already cuz of that
> Tried all of these solutions and none has worked so far:
- Updated Nvidia and AMD drivers
- Reinstalled Steam and Dota
- Tired changing region for downloading
- Ran everything as admin
- Cleared Download Cache
- Added -safe and -autoconfig options to run
- Am looking at videos and reading forums for fixes but am really at a dead end
