>>1469429The colors in this game are really unappealing.
>>1469455definitely very bright color vomit, but you get used to it.understandable if it's not your style, if you like this genre keep an eye out for ASURAJANG, korean dev anime style with fighting game(smash bros) mechanics but otherwise exactly the same as supervive
>>1469429>2024>make a battle royalexD
M<an there's so much crap in this game going on. Is this normal for BRs?>>1469455Every game is trying to be Overwatch/Fortnite and it's annoying as hell.
>>1469594>crap in this game going on.*on the map.
>>1469594>>1469597it's not that bad, all games have a steep learning curve and then it levels out quickly.they've made it so you can hover your mouse over most icons to get an explanation of what that thing is. and yeah it's not just a 'problem' for supervive, lots of BRs have tons of shit going on because they have to.
>>1469429Just did a matchPretty fun honestly, but e-sport cancer will destroy it
>>1469623>but e-sport cancer will destroy itas always, but it will be fun before that happens i hope.
>>1469604It's not the learning curve it just feels like a mess of mechanics with little cohesion. Like why do you have a store and weapon upgrades? Why do pots only get upgraded at bases? Why are there 3 ways completely different ways to revive enemies? Dota is more streamlined than this.
The game looks interesting, color vomit notwithstanding. But what about the developers? I'm getting strong Riot/chinesium vibes from the studio. "F2P with fair monetization" that ultimately makes the entire game greasy even if it's not pay to win.Is this one of these games that force a monoculture upon the players? They actually have the gall to claim that GaaS are pro-gamer. Will they have ToS drama? Will they have their own v*nguard? It's also one of these companies that go public right away, with investors and all the stink that brings in. And with how little info they give about the company, I can only assume they're based in China. Can someone comment on how much corporate vibes the game gives? From the outside, on the scale of 1 to Blizzard, it feels like a strong 8.
I wonder if the visuals are a major complaint among the players.
>>1469629>why do you have a store and weapon upgrades?store is for if you're unlucky with armor/item/vault drops, you can buy armor for gold you get from killing mobs>weapon upgradesadds different playstyles, each item upgrades at level 3 to get a cool passive. like some helms will give you a shield for your tanky characters, some blades will give on hit effects or buff your mana>pots only upgrade at basesseems fine to me, you dont even need to own the basecamp to upgrade your pots or repair armor>3 ways to compeltely revive enemies?there are revive shrines which revive your squad after a channel, you can contest this channel by standing on it while an enemy is there so they cant revive. there is Most Wanted, an item you pick up that after 2minutes will revive your squad, or after getting KILLS will revive your squad, this item only appears late game. there aren't any other ways that i know of to revive, except deathbox revive which is a long channel on top of friendly deathbox.>>1469635>Riot/chinesiumyou'd be correct, previous Riot dev team core.seems their monetization is skins like Riot, or characters.>Can someone comment on how much corporate vibes the game gives?not really? more like oldschool Riot/blizz, but also a lot of communication from the devs themselves. seems to be they want to make a fun competitive game.
>>1469635>I can only assume they're based in China.they're north american bro, indie dev. who knows if it will stay that way once tencent sniffs the cash cow.
>>1469649Why is armor not upgraded like everything else in the game?
>>1469647Characters - some are cute designs (rabbit + schizo flamethrower fox + paladin blob), others are boring ass shit (the niggers, who could've guessed)Graphics - look cartoonishVisual effects - looks visible enough from what I've seen, no deadly invisible skillshot that you can't dodge because you can't see it so far from what I've seen. the not-Zac's grab is visible
>>1469653it's found/dropped/taken from others or bought from store.encourages fighting instead of pve farming.if you open a t5 armor vault, that's a big marker on your back for others to come contest.if you want that t5 from ssomeone else you gotta kill em for it
>>1469654Myth at least has potential, Brall needs a complete redesign. On that note Jin looks dumb too. His portrait looks generic too but at least it's more interesting to look at.
>>1469654>Only non-human hunters have the best designs.
>>1469652>they're north american bro, indie devIt's cool that they're NA, I stand corrected. But they're not fucking indie lol. They've already had two rounds of financing and they scored $85 MILLION, before even publishing their first game. That's as much indie as Walmart is a kid's lemonade stand.
>>1469666>But they're not fucking indie lol. They've already had two rounds of financing and they scored $85 MILLIONthat's fair, i will refrain from calling them indieonly notable thing is they partnered with nexon in korea to bring the game there, that's all i've heard publisher wise.
>>1469657I think Jin's design isnt finished yet, the gunner guy got a redesign into open beta, but Jin clearly is still on his WIP design
>>1469678Yeah I just checked there a big "ALPHA WIP" sign on his page in game.
>>1469657>Brall needs a complete redesign.why
>>1469701He looks boring as hell aside from his big glowy sword.
>>1469705I feel like a good skin could save his design, his design feels so barebones compared to others, + the killmonger dreads dont help
>>1469705>>1469713he used to be called ronin and had a big straw hatwasn't any better tho
I think I'd rather go Back to Eternal Return. Hunting for materials is more engaging.
>ongoing steam test weekSo from the amount of discussion I'm guessing the game isn't exactly wildly popular?
>>1469455reminds me of evercore heroes
I enjoyed some games, its interesting, albeit I wish some character designs were more unique.
>>1472494I checked it out todayIt's popular enough to get games quicklyGameplay and controls feel pretty good for something that's prebeta, but since it's all teambased with voice chat I don't think I'll stick with it, too old for voice chat with zoomers/randosHas always been terrible in free games in Europe due to the amount of retards yelling in their own language you get
>Rioter slopMan I miss BLC/Battlerite
They need to make vaults more engaging or replace them outright. The amount of time you spend in this game shooting the boring vault pylons and doing the mini game to crack vaults during the game adds up over repeated plays. Map feels pretty empty in general. I don't miss Battlerite enough for me to ignore Eternal Return just being a better version of this game.
