Is PokeMMO any good?Is the community good?Is there actually any strategy involved in fights other than using attacks that are effective against the enemy's element? It'd be kind of boring to just press the same button over and over to grind xp for hours on end.
>>1482869How the fuck is this game still alive? Is Nintendo even aware of it?
>>1482869Once you beat the main stories all you have left to do is either becoming a compfag or a farmer
>>1482946Vimm has existed for decades and only got hit recently.
I think it's mostly just for if you wanna play through the games again, but with the benefits of it being in an online ecosystem that connects all of them together. >is there actually any strategy involved in fightsIt's a fun enough little challenge. You're locked to set instead of shift, and Trainers + their AI are harder, so using status moves, checking speed IVs and such, and actually training your Pokemon is a lot more worthwhile for the story than it was before.
>>1482946Rumor has it that PokeMMO actually went to court and WON against Nintendo because you needed the games to actually play it.
>>1483386I've heard the same thing but there is no proof, you would imagine if someone beat nintendo in court it would've been kind of a big deal
>>1482869Are random EVs a thing in this?
>>1487406Are you perhaps mixing EVs with IVs? Anyway there is breeding so you can breed perfect pokemon, though to "balance" it they made it so you lose the parents Overall it's not too bad when compared to other pokemon mmos
>>1487451Er, yes, I meant IVs. Learning about IVs and breeding killed the series for me. Sounds like it still exists but is actually worse because you can't keep breeding stock with good IVs.
>>1487456FairBreeding is one of the top complains when talking about pokemmo, other being 1/32k shinies Honestly I don't really care about shinies, and i'm fine using pokemon with only 31 IVs in the 2 or 3 stats that matter but I understand if people decide to pass because of these
>>1482869all the trainer battles are overtuned competitive shit, so no. unless you love grinding
>>1482869the only issue with PokeMMO is that when you inevitably go to play comp, the only active format is OU, UU and RU are so unbearably inactive it can take you 5 minutes to queue into a match, which isn't ideal when you need to climb a ladder
>>1488775>the trainer battles are actually challenging, so no unless you actually like catching, training, and breeding your pokemonok
>>1488775Story mode while not as brain-dead as the vanilla games it's still pretty easy if you use literally any setup move If you meant post-game raids then they should require you to grind otherwise what is the point
>>1490116Nta but I'm fine with catching and training, but breeding? No thanks. That's too much reset autism for nolife losers.
>>1494391Too bad. Prepare to be bred
>>1488775wew lad, imagine getting filtered by pokemon
>>1482869I just started a game in Hoenn, anyone interested in playing together? I like playing casually with some chatting.
