Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart is a standalone mod of a mod based on the Doom Legacy engine, turning the game into a kart racer similar to Super Mario Kart. Both games are lightweight and can run on most modern PCs.

It's not all of them. I tested that particular replay from today and it works. I also meant it's something during the replays that's causing it (explosions if I had to guess). It tends to happen more on replays with a lot of players I've noticed. Like it's not even throwing a segment violation as far as I can tell, the client just closes. If you got the replays of the elimination match on GE Egypt or Rec'n Rally from today (these were just the first two I picked at random) it does it on both.

Driving is half the battle in a kart racer, hell most of these changes are for item balance and not actual driving
A shit driver will still suffer, easy modo or not

Do not add an easy mode. Fuck you for even considering it to begin with. Any garbage player that wants their ego stroked by virtual numbers can do so by improving their driving. Doing time trials, watching how the top players race, and JUST PLAYING THE FUCKING GAME are all ways players can get better at the game rather than turning on cheats to gain an advantage.

While the servers on kartinvidya can support up to 30 players, the base game only allows up 15 players max and most tracks are designed around having 12 players in them at most. 16+ player races are nothing but a novelty that Kike Krew (thankfully) never built SRB2K around, and there are ways players can adapt to high player numbers.

Average item odds in SRB2K are neither "single banana in last place" nor a get-out-of-jail-free card. 90% of the time you will get an item that is appropriate with your placing, with exceptions being dependent on the track and how players are positioned. No matter how many times the item odds are tinkered with, this will never change.
Players, especially beginners, should not be over-reliant on items saving them from a bad situation. That mindset only works in Mario Kart. Have some fucking spacial awareness and learn how to use items effectively.

There are no good reasons to add an easy mode toggle to the server. If bad players want to improve, they should put in the fucking effort to improve. If they just want the game to play itself or give them an unending stream of serotonin, they should fuck off to DRRR or some dogshit AAA multiplayer game made with a "no child left behind" mindset. A band-aid like easy mode would just make beginners complacent and bad players would barely see a difference with it on.
No one should force themselves to play a game that they hate nor should they mutate that game around their bullshit, because they can't be arsed to actually get better at the game.
