When I say that this game is boring, people keep telling me:

- find a corp
- what do u want to do
- what gameplay do u like
- you want to pvp? All the game is pvp ;) !
- you learn something each time you die !

But in the meantime, the game is still boring. Because as it’s a sandbox game it’s boring

Play Albion. It's the same game minus the bad parts.

I hear you man. I played on an off for ten years. After a while I'd log in, instantly see the UI and all enjoyment would drain out of me within seconds. Everything that can happen is remote from the person sitting at the computer - it's difficult to feel like you're embodied in a character in the universe rather than a strange entity of options and menus.

The depth of gameplay lends itself well to enacting ideas rather than moment to moment enjoyment. Executing a plan and seeing it work is the hight of enjoyment for EVE players. It massages that part of the mind that enjoys employing knowledge of systems - that's why you get so many people confusing thier knowledge of the game with actual ability, primarily in help channels but you see it everywhere in a way that's overpronounced compared to other games.

The few memorable experiences I've had in EVE ammount to;
• The one time I spent a few weeks producing and selling MTUs in a highsec mission hub. Premium markup. Then I went about the constellation destroying every MTU I could find, in order to drive up demand.
• Scavenging wrecks and drones from FW engagements and gatecamps, sometimes during active battles, then selling the junk back to the losers.
• Desperately trying to navigate the politics of a startup nullsec alliance and thereafter a large highsec corp this was really tough for a autisitc shutin with sub-social skill.

The key point being that each of these experiences required interaction with other players - something the games presentation makes difficult to achieve naturally and inantely, owing to the automation of many interaction-potetial rich elements (particularly markets).

It sounds like you dont like the game man. Why are you playing it if you dont like it?

the game is bad because of multiboxing, gates, and sov mechanics
back at the start it was fun to attack people belt ratting with my rifter
all other pvp is trash and mission pve is unironically the most fun thing you can do because then at least you feel cool in your cool spaceship

its progression system is good though

i like to just fly the nice spaceships. Its not worth omega tho.. its a strange pyramid scheme style pay2win.. Just play for fun and free.
>>
It's boring because you do boring things, don't do boring things. That said, you're kinda stuck doing boring shit unless you're running 2-3 accounts.

Eve PVP at its best is second to none. Unfortunately the best parts (small gang, especially in WHs) are very small part of the game and take a lot of effort/luck to set up/show up. Especially as the devs have largely abandoned the game and moved on to CCP's (failed) side projects , I'd recommend Foxhole instead. Foxhole is basically condensing the good parts of Eve into a much more playable package.
