Game is great with friends. Never tried with randoms, although the option exists.
There are 4 classes, which give you bonuses to various tasks. It doesn't restrict you from anything i.e. you don't have to be a pilot to fly.
Pilot flies, gunner shoots, engineer keeps it all going through constant repairs and tweaks, and the fourth class is some kinda boarding specialist that seems unnecessary.

scav hook is best on the engie and you may as well just have two proper gunners instead of a dedicated scav. all you really need to make scavwork tolerable is the throw power increase, boosted O2, and jetpack sprint. it's easy to get the important engie skills, that shit in scav, and still have enough left over for range + acc increases in gunner, as well as a point of fire rate and the 25% damage increase.

the engie skill is largely useless, you may have a use for the second upgrade (slowly refill ammo/recharge batteries you're near) if you need to shake a lot of duracells all at once, but otherwise the mobility of hook just works pretty well for engie, both for getting around the ship or doing shit like repairs in the void. also makes it trivial to solo sync charge the destroyer.

it's decently fun, but good runs will devour literal hours, i think that's probably the biggest wall of the game. you need to have a dedicated time block to just sit down and play, or you're going to maybe get one boss and be done.

biggest problem it has at the moment is just a lack of variety, and weapon balance is utter shit. ballistics are garbage because they get cucked by shields, energy is god because it still does good enough damage to armor.

honestly the worst part is that it can't take inputs anywhere near as fast as heckfallers can. i keep failing inputs because i'm going too fast for the danish coding to keep up.
