They switched over to EGS. Player trading directly cuts into microtransactions. If they were smart they'd start building on a system like steam where you get to steal 30% of every player-to-player cash trade.

Is this game supposed to be infuriating when you first start?

I've been good at video games my entire life, but I suck ass at this game and it makes me rage like nothing else. The controls are completely unintuitive and I feel like a fucking retard just missing and reversing and playing like a toddler.

Haven't even played enough to do ranked yet, but even playing against other noob shitters I lose every game and literally can't hit the ball. It's not even fun for me to play.

Even did the training bullshit and it did nothing to translate in an actual game for me. Not getting any better at all and the amount of anger and frustration of not being able to do simple things is making me wonder if it's even worth it for me to try and get good.

Is this the normal first time player experience or is this game just not for me? It's a shame cause it seems fun...

I started playing when it came out in 2015, I don't remember struggling but the difference is massive now. It's probably the most mechanical comp game at the moment, and I mean this as someone who's been top 1% at most comp games in the past.
What training do you mean? If you want to prac use the custom pack or workshop maps, the basic training is kinda shit. Either way it'll take many hours to be proficient. You can also trying looking up vids on some of the mechs on jewtube.

I'm not even close to trying to learn mechanics. I'm literally trying to even hit the fucking ball. It could be rolling towards the net at 2mph and I'll jump right over it or some stupid shit. It's infuriating.

But yeah it's the basic training things I did. Which I was able to complete after a million tries, but it just doesn't translate into the real game at all for me.

Can I hit a ball in the air into a goal with infinite boost and unlimited tries at the exact same angle? Of course.

Can I do it in a live game while I'm all turned around and mashing buttons in frustration as I'm losing 8-0? Absolutely fucking not.
