In most games its usually 1 handed more accurate in exchange of 2 handed being more powerful but on horizon 2 handed deal way more damage and are way more accurate. 75 era with pop hnms and relics being deleted with dyna rewards instead being fun custom gear that fills niche would be the ideal 11 pserver experience.

While true, it wasn’t really something that broke the game it was more of a buff to whm and smn on healing duty, BLM still used /RDM iirc but I don’t really remember why.
It gave access to sublimation and penury which helped whm mp economy and gave them a 10 point skill bonus under light arts. The main thing /sch did for whm and smn tho was actually let them use some of the black magic it gave then access to, mainly aspir and elemental magic as well as letting smn use debuff spells.
Considering how powerful rdm was I would call this buff more necessary than broken and it didn’t really even shake up the meta.
Rdm was still the best exp healer and the best thing sch shook up at endgame was a modus veritas strat that got knocked down almost as soon as it was discovered and Klimaform + storm buff on blm party in sky while also being able to status heal, targetabble buffs like storm spells or protect and cure entire alliances.
A lot of people love to parrot that SCH outdps BLM but what they don’t like to bring up is that it happens over a long period of time and that one SCH buffs 5 other black mages by a lot. They also bring up helices which can only be applied by one sch in the entire raid so they make a false equivalence of multiple SCH being used in endgame content over multiple BLM when the reality is that SCH is only a better pick than BLM on low man stuff and buffs BLM everywhere else.

After looking at the traits in bgwiki, I’m pretty sure blm/rdm was picked more than blm/sch because of fast cast and stoneskin but thats the only assumption I got since the rest of the spell list is identical as far as magic blm actually cares to get. In alliance content BLM can get max stoneskin from the SCH which would let the BLM sub sch for sublimation and the extra 10 elemental magic but I dunno really why it wasn’t more popular.
I also remember base scholar on release didn’t get stoneskin, you always got it from sub job so you didn’t even start to use SCH/BLM until much later.

Pic related is the person SpicyRyan claims is his "wife", whom as you can see was an extremely developed character on HorizonXI. I say "was" because they were part of the recent banwave that Spicyryan refuses to talk about and pathetically deflected from.

I say "wife" because after the doxxing the other year it was discovered that Spicyryan isn't actually legally married and no marriage certificate exists anywhere under his legal name. Despite that, Spicyryan has in several posts online made reference to a woman whom he refers to as his "wife" including using them as a sympathy prop during the doxxing.

Recently it was discovered that an entire linkshell, "Insurrection" was account sharing in that they were all logging into a bank alt for pops. Several admitted to it but claimed that it wasn't "account sharing" by their personal definitions. GMs cited the rules and everyone involved was banned. The character "Cabbagechan" was of course involved in this as well.

Spicyryan's "wife" usually goes under the name "Carrotchan" online but was using the moniker "Cabbagechan" on HorizonXI. Based on voice chats from the CatsEyeXI Staff Discord a female definitely does live with him so whomever this person is, they are real he just isn't legally married to them.

I'm also fairly confident Spicyryan was also playing on this character. His acitivity online has effectively tripled since the ban so I'm guessing that's the result of his increased free time. Maybe his shifts got reduced at the Wegman's he works at also, who's to say!

The meta is the way it is because its most effective, there is no secret 3x faster speed only you know about.
Monster difficulty does not reward higher xp, just its level difference or extreme niche cases like manticores. Why take more time fighting higher hp in comparison difficult monsters that reward the same xp? You might say its fun which is fine, but how is that remotely relevant on job discussion?
You would not bring a pld for higher level xp monsters because xp monsters die too quick and you would rather take another melee or brd to kill even faster. If I mostly enjoy casual EXP parties, would I be better off on Horizon, Eventide, or Catseye?
I played on Horizon for a bit on launch, but didn't play for long due to how crowded it was. Are there any casuals still around, or have they all quit by now? At this point in the server's life, do all parties expect you to be extremely well geared? All that required farming might be rough.
Catseye sounds much easier to get into, but I wonder if I'm just going to end up soloing most of the time there.

In this game drk/nin and blm/nin tank some content ffs. Pretty much anyone with shadows, and doesn’t get one shot when shadows break can tank to an extent. Pld/nin is only like the 5th best tank for most content and only really excels in hmm fights.

Melee hp pool with native -pdt gear and cures. Pretty much sums up all of its upsides. Rdm/nin is already a superior tank to pld/nin on other servers/era and was nerfed on horizon because it completely replaced pld even at its one niche of hyper endgame hmms and thats a caster.
