A short balearic sling with a shaped ceramic shot is very accurate since it had a smooth release.I personally like pouch slings most since they are better for rocks and “shotgun” loads. Better for hunting rabbit and squirrel but the release can be finicky.Most of my slings are washer ended because it does not chafe as much but I really like middle finger loops and might switch to more of that design.For killing people, dart slings are the best.I do not protest but I have been experimenting with bottle throwing slings. I think a pouch made of torn jeans or moderate leather works well. A pouch design like <> or |<> works well. The second one is basically a diamond with a pouch to hold the bottom of the bottle until you release.Sorry for the rant but sling making is very personal and takes a lot of work to get good at. I practice one a week or so when I hike for the last 3 years.

If you solo it on the server, you hunt/gather then maybe maybe a 10x10 farm with 6ish of each animal is more than enough.On single player, you might need a little more since no time skips. 15x15 - 20x20 is good. Add maybe a 10x10 for flax. It all depends on rot, food consumption, mods, and plans for the food (distilling alcohol, feeding animals, space for flax, etc)
