>>1989707>debtors prison for life over breaching NDA'sNah, they will be revealed as yet another CIR/CIG/RSI/Roberts/etc stealth marketing campaign that is somehow also a bannable exploit if anybody except a streamer or reddit video poster does it repeatedly or even once.Soon, Disgruntled Backers and Wikelo Grinders will have the chance to pledge more shekels to see the leaker marketing pipeline vibecoded face clone get tortured repeatedly in star marine.Pipeline Rights, indeed. Also, the old thread is not anywhere near dead, it's just that someone got perturbed that First Sale Doctrine got mentioned in the same thread as Star Citizen, and is trying to sage/kill/expire the old thread.

Yogi doesn't understand that the reason the changes leaked so fast was because they're so abysmall.
>>1991235>Yogi doesn't understand that the reason the changes leaked so fast was because they're so abysmall.Do you think the other testing focus groups were given a less-shitty flight model to test, such that they failed to be perturbed enough to leak in complaint and protest?TLDR version: Do you think they pissed off the other (non-leaking) tester small focus groups less badly?
>>1991235They leaked it for clout. this is literally the only reason SC leakers exist. There's whole pages of drama around star citizen leaking that exists solely ybecause of the clout of being "one of the leakers"
>>1991355>>1991374NTA but he's right about the changes being absolute dogshit.
>>1991374>>1991384I am serious. Leakers usually censor all identifying information in any leaks with no exception. This smells of pre-suicide solo wrist-slashing to me. Allow me to explain. They (perhaps) burned themselves from all future testing ON PURPOSE because they were all so perturbed, possibly enraged at this billion USD dollar shit show, and with some kind of hyper-complex exit procedure from their UNPAID VOLUNTEER QA position to create friction, perhaps, so they just pulled the pin on the NDA on purpose by leaving all names of their own group intact so their account could be Blacklisted. (or violation-flagged as "Insufficiently Diverse".)All opinions from popular "youtube citizen" people should be less worshipped.I am so sick of low effort slop machinima, I can only watch star wars fanfilms (CGI and Live-Action) nowadays, everything else is excrement now.Does anybody still visit this web site?https://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/allfilms/allfilmsa_g.asphttps://www.theforce.net/default.asp

Another day another dogshit armour design from CIG.
Did I fuck up by buying an Ares?
>>1992035Ares have sucked lately, difficult to hit anything with various additive lag-based deterrents to one's chance-to-hit, and invincible panels on MSR garagedoor and other ships, Also missiles are broken and suck most of the time.Ares looks cool though, way less cookie-cutter script-generated like the Intrepid appeared to me.Ares gets no love since it is not the meta-new fighter this year, but Intrepid got criticized as low-effort on "Trans-Citizen Pipeline Leaks Rights" day, the day it "leaked" to public with all the old "1s3 Panther initial armament" lol-hype.
>>1992019>Another day another dogshit armour design from CIG.why is it all themed like bondage gear now?it looks like all the cool armor tries to look like Chinese Mecha/Robots, but ends up looking like leather bondage crap with eye-blinder covers and shit? The Defiance armor helmets were passably "Ghost in the shell" themed without looking TOO much like blinders and shit, but maybe that was too Japanese for the other major openly-communist asian market? At least there's always this when the jeet poop gets too deep again.https://www.store-citizen.com/

>>1991535I submitted mine today after spending perhaps too much time on it over a few days. Though, I'm not a good judge for what suggests an AI result from a generic/bad one. I personally used Grok for checking if I made grammatical/spelling errors (as they allowed in the rules), but that's it. I'd like my fair shot at a win, but it is a little discouraging when you know that not only are there going to be many cheat entries, but that streamers appear to have gotten their audiences to like-bump their threads already. I don't know if that could disproportionately boost their appeal to the judges.
>>1993755No clue mate. Its a double edged sword, on the other hand we cant imagine we are the best writers in the world, yet I saw considerable effort in mine too. how often do old ships go on sale? like a 400 600 or 890?
>>1994504Twice a year. 1 in May during Invictus (combat focused ships only), and IAE in November brings back (almost) all ships during the event. There are other small events and they often sell a handful of ships when a new patch drops, but its at random.
>>1992287The balance guys fundamentally misunderstood the ion's role. Overall cug seems to hate high risk high reward. The ions niche was taking she's to like up a shot and getting an instant kill if you succeeded. They got rid of the charge time on fire and lowered the damage to just make it mid. No challenge, and no payoff. Yeah you hit instantly but who careswhen the damage is a fraction of what it was? It was a very videogamey ship, but they can't abide that when it's fun for some reason

Was the talk of armor archetypes a real thing? Will armors actually have stuff like different cargo capacity, weight and different energy/ballistic resistances across armors of similar type according to the manufacturer? Or is it just stealth vs G force vs resistance and the general light/medium/heavy classes remain more or less as they are?
>>1997243I don't know about CIG mentioning resistance to specific damage types, but you are correct on the other points, and they kinda are already in the game (different weight and storage capacity). This most recent talk from citcon last year is still the most up to date info we have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvzitYTukmQBear in mind, armor archetypes have been talked about for fucking eons, and the most we have in the game to this day is hitmarkers and the crosshair on specific helmets added back in patch 3.23.
>>1997250>Bear in mindI refuse to elaborate any further.
>>1997250There was an older one where they were divided in 4 major categories: combat fighter, combat specialist, utilitarian adventurer and utilitarian support, each with light, medium and heavy subclasses. I would assume stuff like a tracker or stealth armor are specialists and survival suits are utilitarian adventurer.
>>1997258Yea, this presentation I believe is the one you are referencing?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd4sXyr7oNgArmor archetypes, along with reputation, are something that CIG has talked about extensively with next to no actual development progress on them. You can, more or less, expect a dumbed-down version when it comes out, just like how the reputation system is getting stripped of all its meaningful consequences (not preventing criminals from landing at major hubs) before they have even started development.
