Final thread of the year! (?)

>What is Tabletop Sim
TTS is a physics sandbox game meant to be used to play board games online, you can find almost any board game for free in the Steam Workshop, or even create your own!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/286160/Tabletop_Simulator/

Hosting is as easy as just opening a lobby and getting the game's workshop item. Post your favorite board games, discuss and play with other anons. Find games in the Workshop (https://steamcommunity.com/app/286160/workshop/) and discuss/host your favorite games!

Of course, if you prefer to play board games through other platforms, like Tabletop Playground, Board Game Arena, or game's digital editions, feel free to talk about and find other players here!

No new stuff for turn functions? Would be cool if we didn't have to use 2 turns for Clank
>>
>>2141726
That's already something that's perfectly able to be implemented. It's just that nobody wants to futz with the existing code.
>>
>>2141726
The problem there is just the Clank script is disconnected from the internal TTS turns system, other scripts like the TI4 scripted table can catch turn changes and act on them.

We got that working with the caveat that you absolutely must not touch the in-game UI turn button. I also submitted a feature request that was immediately put into In Progress, so maybe next patch I won't have to deal with it.

Usually you have the one you wanna host, the couple others you've been feeling like playing, and then the regular backups that can support a varied number of players. v14.0.3 Hotfix 3

Added Lua Turns.endTurn() an easy way to end a players turn.
Changed json save file max depth to 1024...
Optimized the Wait class and fixed potential bugs with callback and calling stop().
Fixed "crashed" caused when deleting large RAWT cache after update (made deletion async, so it doesn't appear crashed).
Fixed not being able to pass turns for non admin players.
Fixed being able scale objects with locked Y scale to 1 to really small or big.
Fixed stacking distance for small cards and decks so that the spread action properly works with them.
Fixed autosaves happening when your server becomes disconnected.

I finally learned how to play TTS in VR. I practiced a Solitaire game. Definitely post ITT when you all are getting down on some TTS! VR three dimensions are kinda blowing my mind.
>>
>>2149730
I heard VR TTS was really barebones and janky, how well does it work?
>>
>>2149731
Kinda precise movements, but I'm kinda muscled. I'm also kinda high dexterity. If you're kinda shaky armed, or won't zoom in and out for more precise movements then you might have difficulty.
All the functions are there though. Took me a half an hour to comfortably follow the directions of the man who made the control scheme that I'm using. Not barebones, but you gotta know what buttons you need to press or you'll just akwardly try to do what you're trying to do...all the while doing nothing.

Closing lobby, pretty good sesh to start the year.
>>

>and didnt even bother to remember which part confused him
The opposite, really. I knew exactly which parts I scored already, which parts confused me, and which parts I didn't do yet because I wanted to wait until after solving the confusion. I was insistent on walking through each part to make sure it was hashed out, because unless it was known what exactly I already tallied, anyone trying to glance over and "finish the process" could easily have the wrong idea--unless they happened to fully remember my exact score before any Epoch V scoring starting, without any assumptions on "undoing" anything I might've (or not) scored so far.

The frustration was more set in by the host wanting to get it over with quickly and tallying on my behalf despite asking to wait and without asking me what I already scored/letting me know whether he did exactly know my pre-E5 score, and another player that was replying in the middle of my statements (since I sent them sentence-by-sentence instead of paragraphs) and got a bit belligerent when asked to let me finish first.

In the midst of this, I noticed my score tracker was moved without me fully remembered exactly where it was, so then THAT would have to be properly undone in order to continue with the process, and with the other stuff so far, it was just clear the lobby wasn't actually gonna be conducive towards that. Overall, not really as much an issue with the game as much as it was just all that. I mean, as far as the actual game of Feudum goes, it's shit, but solely because it's a 3 hour game that doesn't contain cowboys OR pirates. Unthinkable.
>>
>>2163703
>The frustration was more set in by the host wanting to get it over with quickly
He spent 5 hours pretending to like the game. I would want to get it over quickly too.

then why didn't you say clearly which parts you scored when asked which parts you scored? i know we're all autistic down here but just because the host had a stick up his ass doesn't mean you have to have one too. It's not a competition.
>another player was replying in the middle of my statements
so? fuck that guy, ignore him, don't let his comments phase you, you're a man on a mission, the peanut gallery cannot phase you.

>>
>>2163703
The funny thing is, all of this started because you requested help in scoring regions at the end despite it working the same as the previous epochs.

>host wanting to get it over with quickly and tallying on my behalf
I didn't want it to end quickly, I wanted it to end at all, because we were literally stuck trying to explain the region scoring was the same as the previous 4 times, so i just gave you your 29 endgame points. I would have noticed you requested a full stop if you and the other guy hadn't flooded the chat by having a literal shushing competition. I also did tell every player exactly how many points they won before we started the actual endgame scoring, so that was an extra point of confusion about what exactly your problem was since everything was accounted for.

I do apologize though and hope it doesn't discourage you from playing these more complex games again, you're a pretty good player and I apreesh. We need a big red button that will put a big OBJECTION or something right on my screen, that surely wont' be abused lol.

>then why didn't you say clearly which parts you scored when asked which parts you score
I had, but it was getting lost in everyone talking at once. Teeny tiny chatbox for a lot of talking. Hence then getting stuck in a loop of wanting to clear the air.

>>2163934
>despite it working the same as the previous epochs.
Yeah I wasn't fully on the right page during previous epochs either, lol. To put it shortly, a lot of different terminology and different explanations (even if the same/similar info) at once meant that I had already resigned to asking for a tally each epoch instead of counting for myself. It wasn't an issue then because it wasn't a lot to count, but
A) I also thought there was more to qualify for in that part of scoring, and that I didn't most of the game, but had (if it was part of scoring) at Epoch 5
B) I knew some things were scored ""later"" at the end, but I didn't know if they were part of final E5 Region Scoring or endgame Final Scoring

So that's why I was wanting to fully stop and clear the air, since we were on different pages. Like there was parts where you gave me the right answer, but because I didn't know it was right, I was still waiting for things to get cleared up. Similarly, that's why I was repeatedly trying to get an answer about what you meant by "knowing the points owned and owed before endgame," because pre-endgame could also mean my half-counted end-of-epoch scoring.

A lot of this was also just getting pushed around by 3-4 people talking at once, so that's why I was so adamant about getting the full stop and talking one at a time, as just repeatedly saying it or asking in the midst of all the chatting wasn't working already. It's also why I took issue with the other guy going "just say it instead!" because continued chatting or interruptions inbetween sentences were causing issues already.

In any case, nah it's nothing at the end of the day. I only speak on it since it was brought up again.

Uhm, ackshually, articles such as The always go at the end of the title when alphabetizing.
>>
>>2167816
The colon delimits the title (The Resistance) and the subtitle (Avalon). 'The' is going at the end of the title as "Resistance, The".
"Resistance: Avalon, The" would be a way to write "Resistance: The Avalon" so that it appears alphabetical before other installments of some hypothetical Resistance franchise.

And the game ends 28 to 22 with a final push for sparkling wine! Actually pretty entertaining, the new board distributes actions in a much better way, the expert bonuses help a ton, and the extra starting stuff at setup really quickstarts the game saving you like 20 minutes. Will most likely buy this expa when it's available after playing it, see Jamey? No need to be a fag.

Yep, with the new tally (the script fucks up sometimes anyways) the game ends differently
Kyouko: 52 points
Roll: 56 points
Miku: 77 points
Ashury: 96 points

So yeah, I win :D I saved state the game in case you want to demand a recount with the council of board games. GG!
