all of the good aspects and uniques have been made exceptionally rare. I’m in torment 12 and still haven’t found arbiters zephyr aspect nor an argent veil. I’ve killed duriel about 15 times since that’s the amount of greater keys I’ve found and still nothing.

Anyone else challenging themselves and taking it slow? I missed out on playing with my friend group for reasons so I figured since I'm not in a rush I'll try starting out on the highest difficulty and treat it like a challenge run. Didn't work out it took 10 minutes to kill the first pack of mobs. So I had to drop it to the second highest difficulty but that's been the perfect sweet spot. Every bit of gear looks enticing and a blue drop feels rewarding. I'm having to look at skills and passives in a whole new light like taking ones that give me some healing and stuff like that. It's been pretty fun so far, not sure how long I'll play like this but it's a nice change of pace from the gogogo blasting mode the game wants you to play normally. Finding my first yellow was life changing then I just killed the underground boss and 4 yellows dropped I almost creamed my pants. If I get strong enough I'll try bumping the difficulty back up to max.

the progress sure is slow but steady this season. i've been in a ton of time so far and I'm just now able to spam out 10ish billion damage per hit. I still have a bit of optimizing to do but I doubt hammerdin is gonna be going much further than pit 110.
It’s pretty hilarious how much stronger layer bosses are now. Like in previous seasons the layer bosses could only scale up to T4 (equivalent of pit 65 now) but with the changes to torment you can get layer bosses scaled up to pit 100. Even with billions of damage per second they still take forever to kill.

doing the new statues gives you obols, gold, and gem fragments when you click on each final one. also you get cute little scenes of lilith and inarius and linarian after doing the group for each island. at some point it comes with a title historian
what classes are you having fun with? im on necro and while I like the auto-summon minions, lack of proper mobility skills is tiresome and the minions while cool don't really do much damage for me

I think the problem with this season is the crafting mats are ways too scarce. By the time you attempt to craft something you already run out of forgotten souls. The rate at which you farm the souls is abysmal. Everything feels too scarce. You can't even use the cube much because you run out of the mats.

just hit 220 para on paladin and i think i'm gonna call it there for him. pretty strong build, focused on having arbiter of justice cooldown ultra quickly so i could spam it every 3-4 seconds, combined with the 5 piece set bonus for the arbiter to cast every ultimate and charm for crown of lucion and armor that just buffed the hell out of disciple damage and mainly kept my cooldowns short and damage high. all of my tree skill points when into the ultimates and a few into auras and falling star. pit 100 in around 3 minute no problem. barb next?

You can recolor the text gear that drops so you know exactly when you find a potential upgradeYou usually want to search for anything with at least 2 desirable affixes because then you can use the cube to try and target a third and forth affix that you need. For white items I always pick them up to try and convert to a unique that I need. Ancestral that are junk are good for salvage. If you are really picky you can change the filter rule to only highlight ancestral as well.

Finished Vessel. The dislike around it online is overblown. If the base game was an 8.5, VoH is about a 7.2/10. There were some good ideas, some cute but very thin boss mechanics. Narratively, I think what happened is this was meant to be an ongoing story throughout the seasons, but it got turned into an expansion instead.It’s extremely Nyrelle heavy, to the point where she’s the main character. There’s nothing really wrong with the expansion or story, but there’s nothing to talk about with it either. The whole thing could have been several quests linked over multiple seasons.I can’t speak much from a content standpoint, but it seems like there would have been almost nothing new when the expansion came out. Runes and that’s it. Overall, not terrible, just middling. If any Anon has takes on why the story actually made no sense and certain beats were contrived, would be interesting to hear.

Lord of Hatred's campaign was way better than Vessel, a solid 8 to VoH's 6. Environment variety was way better, mob variety was way better. The pacing was better, not a huge fan of having another go at making Lilith sympathetic though.

Does anyone with build knowledge know how Lucky Hit Damage Procs scale?I say this because there is a Warlock legendary aspect that reads "Shadow Damage has 30% increased Lucky Hit Chance".I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a build that just slams Lucky Hit: Chance to do +X Shadow Damage modifiers onto both weapons and every single Seal. Is the damage added from LH procs attributed to the Skill that did it? By that, I mean if I were to do this with Umbral Chains, would that damage get amplified by Hex and improved by Overpower?Because the shell of this build is 90% the Ritualist Abyss Hell Fracture build when I tried this strategy out it was quite a bit worse but could still one-phase T12 Harbinger, and I just want to know if the Shadow damage procs are doing literally anything.

Witchcraft, Horadrim, the Belial season, it's all lazy and didn't do anything to advance the game. VoH, for Diablo 4 as a whole, was not an expansion. It went on sale like 2 months after it released. VoH was such a nothing expansion (that you had to pay for!) that I consider Diablo 4 to be three eras:Launch until Loot Reborn, then Loot Reborn until Lord of Hatred. VoH just made people cough up money for Blizzard to continue leaving the game stale.

I just finished the campaign, it was pretty good. I loved that they pretty much wrapped up every story beat and side quest that the original game presented. It felt like a definitive end to Diablo 4 even though they clearly left enough room for new expansions if they want to. I'm glad we managed to save Lorath from spending an eternity on the Tree.Now that Lilith is dead forever for real this time and Mephisto is permanently banished to the Void for all time, I guess that just leaves Baal and Diablo as the big bads. I'm not too sure about Baal's current status. Is he alive somewhere or did he die forever in D2? Same with Diablo. I know we sealed him in some kind of crystal in D3 but Malthael fucked with it somehow, so I guess Diablo is still alive and kicking? And Mephisto said something about his Brothers coming to Sanctuary - so I guess that's clearly setting up a new expansion or a Diablo 5.

playing througu VoH for the first time. That expansion was rushed and padded. Univar plays no role, and the rest is just Neyrelle and Akkarat repeating the same shit over and over again. I wouldnt have minded it but once you get to Neyrelle its non-stop her almost succumbing to the Soulstone. This would have been a one hour arc in the main story, like being in the jungle with Donan. Its also so cheap that after we feed her the heart, it just randomly starts again without even any specific reason. The original campaign had some great set pieces and locations and id expect an expansion to double down on that but the only great location that shows off Blizzards production talent is right at the end, the waterpath to Akarrats tomb. The dialogue doubles down on Diablo 4's self help vibe, the mental health mantras are all over the thing. Written by women without a doubtAlso mercenaries are shit. Generally i quite like D4, i dont think the writing is abysmal mostly and just technically it looks great and is very atmospheric, but you can tell they really want to make Diablo 4 a BioWare RPG but are limited by the confines of the genre. I really wouldnt mind them going down even more the RPG route, with Companions, Dialogue trees etc. but the typical diablo crowd would have burned down Blizzard HQs.

there’s really not much in terms of secret sauce for getting good loot. just keep playing, upgrading warpath activities, and progressively increasing the torment as you get stronger. the only real tip is that you can use the cube to craft items into legendaries and uniques if you’re missing those for your build, and you can combine nmd sigils into escalating sigils and tributes into mythic tributes. the lair boss tree for nemesis portals is good (middle path), as well as the prankster portal chance in the under city (left path).
I was crushing things at t6 then I tried t7 and it feels like the game jumped up 10 tiers of difficulty. This isn't a curve it's a cliff.
Is there a list of what affixes belong to each category? The cube doesn't tell you what they are and sometimes I thought it would change one but it changed something else.

This will definitely tide me over until I can randomly get or fish for another decent one.I have to start focusing on some key survivability pieces now though.
