>No always online
>No ads
>No pay to win
>No premium currencies
>No Gacha and gambling with real money
>No over reliance of oversexualized female characters
>No FOMO lifeservice event bullcrap
>One time purchase to own the game
>Just plain, good old fun, zero bullshit
Preferrable Beat Em Up, Hack and Slash, ARPGs or Turn Based RPGs but with actual strategy involved. I also like character creation and exploration.

I think that cat is a girl.
Also stay on topic.

ex astris: $10, no gacha, no extra monetization (so far, until they announce dlcs), not coombait, really great worldbuilding and plot, turn based combat, impressive quality
>>
Try: EBF5, Kingdom Two Crowns, Slice & Dice, Path of Adventure, HyperRogue, Xenowerk Tactics, Templar Battleforce, Roto Force.

Aren't most of these inferiour ports from PC games?
>>
>>1627698
Not at all. They all play great on mobile.
>>
>>1627602
total war series or other feral games, any death cells rip-off from indie devs
>>
>>1627616
Looked at the page and I'm confused, how can something like this in the current landscape, it's just not economically viable to make something that looks so good without gacha, especially on mobile. NTA, but nonetheless thanks for the heads-up.

it's unfortunate honestly
that game looks like it took a lot of money to develop, but it was trashed by the chinese because it's not in the usual fomo daily chores gacha skinner box format they are used to consooming
it barely made any profit and there's still no news on the dlcs it was supposed to get
i am guessing it's abandoned development, but you can still buy and play the game, so there's that
i really enjoyed it, the quality is incredible for a phone game

I've actually installed Ex Astris, and wow, it looks beautiful. Feels wasted on a mobile game really, it's basically a console game. Same could be said of Genshin but IMO it looks like trash on mobile for optimization reasons. The assets look unique and well-designed and I feel with the $10 asking price they are deeply in the red with this one as the DLCs never materialized.
But at least I'll gladly indulge in Yan/Vi3 yuri delusions.

>Good mobile game
There the recommendation for anon :
>Stardew Valley
>Any games that made from Kairosoft
>Age of History 3 and age of civilisation 2
>Unciv

You just look closely to find actual good mobile game anon.

yeah, i feel bad for the developers
they fell for the "why wont these gachashit developers just make a regular game" meme that gets spammed everywhere on /v/, and then everyone just ignored the regular game anyway
they put a lot of effort and it doesnt seem like it has made much profit since there is no news on the dlc(s) yet
they are also developing a console game similar to splatoon, with match-3 shooter mechanics instead (game name is popucom)
they might be the only respectable gacha company in the world lol

I'd say it's a combination of factors.
First, mobile gamers are accustomed to playing for free. Whether it has microtransactions or ads or grind they don't care as long as they don't have to pay upfront. At best they'd be willing to buy one for two bucks, but if they like one, they might as well spend thousands on mtx.
Second, Google loves devs who monetize via mtx or ads. Most games without those, both paid or free get buried under shovelware and aren't easy to find.
Third, neither devs nor their customers treat it like a real platform. People don't do research to make informed choices, they grab the first flashy app they see to burn some time while on the crapper.

It's essentially a tech demo for Endfield, trying to recoup some of the development cost for the 3D engine for their next gacha game
>>
>>1634120
how is it a tech demo for endfield
it has corridors instead of open world, and turn based combat instead of action
it reminds me more of final fantasy 13
>>
>>1634125
It's a tech demo for the 3D engine and animation systems. A stepping stone between not having a 3D engine and having a well-developed 3D engine for a 3D action gacha, and probably a way to justify making a 3D engine from scratch to investors by saying it will be used for multiple games
>>
>>1634126
did they not make 3d games before that?
>>
>>1634137
Not that I know of

>they grab the first flashy app they see to burn some time while on the crapper
This is so true. This article that describes how apps adapt to this made me lose faith in humanity, and in myself as quite often I am also a "Marl" as described in the article, someone just wanting a quick and "free" dopamine rush with no energy to do anything but swipe down.

>>1634120
Is it a bespoke engine? They didn't just take unity/unreal for this? Or do you mean all of the dev tools, architecture, and bootstrap code created over one of those?
>>1632694
>match-3 shooter
I hate this, but it might make them a lot of money, so it can't be helped. Hope they make more passion projects with that money.

i think it looks pretty neat
not sure if it will launch on phones or switch, but it's confirmed for steam and ps right now
>>
>>1634287
The graphics are definitely cute. Well, having a decent Splatoon on Steam is nice, I'm just not sure about that whole match-3 thing.

You a gay nigga

where's Halligan from mystery of the druids?
>>

games that rely on sexualizing usually have dogshit gameplay, like all gachatrash "games"

>>1627602
I've played The werecleaner and please, touch the artwork for a bit and they're pretty nice and completely free of cost and bullshit.

Ad screens and banners will still take up space and time in many games. Even if they display nothing.
