>>1636894now, for people with actual skill issues who want to get good: build your team manuallysee pic related? this team can consistently make 1m+ points on stage 5 (>>1636870). as you can see it's relatively budget (event weapon, lv80 weps, ob2/3 dps weps, etc..) and i play 99% on auto (as described here >>1636894). so what's the secret? manual team buildingi'll just write how i came up with my final team and explain my reasonings, hopefully somebody can learn something from this:first of all, start with an empty team! then you need to choose proper characters: 1 healer and 2 dps:>for healer, picking red instead of matt was a nobrainer for me because he can do high fire debuff AND aoe heal AND increase team mdef (needed to survive mid-fight aoe on stage 5)>for 2 dps, zack was another nobrainer since he had fire arcanum AND mag fire weapon (and a pretty good one). for the second one i picked tifa with ob6 bahafangs (aoe matk boost) because of the huge team matk r ability boost it gives me in first slot. basically, i'm building my team around best mag fire weapons/arcanums on my account (cloud with fire arcanum and a fira or aerith with egg staff could also work decently, when built with magic in mind)next, equips:>ifrit goes to zack since he has arcanum, and i'm also give priority to him when it comes to materia because of this. the carrot sword boosts matk/fire and it's there also so that the ai DOESN'T USE IT.>for subweapons my priorities were: team matk (dps), team mdef (red), fire/matk/mag. ability/ability (dps), buff extension (tifa/red), heal (red)>for materias, sort by matk and give the top 3 to zack, top 4-6 to tifa and then sort by heal and give top 3 to red. again, nothing that ai can use, since i purposefully avoided debuffing/healing materiasas you can see, this way the ai, even on auto, CAN'T fuck up:>zack will always spam fire sword>tifa will bahafangs once, and then spam fire gloves>red will debuff twice then heal when needed
>>1636916finally, an addendum for tryhards:truth is, playing on auto with the above team (using only manual summons as described above) gives me only around 950k score. so if you really wanna do your best for the guild and push your limits, here are some tips that are only relevant for getting that additional 10% by playing on manual:>because of how shitty gbs are, even when playing on manual DO NO SWITCH CHARACTERS (exception at the bottom), shit lags and sucks, it will make you fuck up. make sure your 2 dps behave properly by ONLY spamming their main weapons when playing on auto before doing anything else. after that switch to manual and play as the healer>KNOW YOUR STUFF! in my case, both fire dps weapons do 1.2x more damage when character's health is above 70%. so when i play on auto, red doesn't heal unless total health is below 50%, so obviously i'm just wasting dps. by playing on manual, i make sure hps are always above 70%. also since bahafangs go up to matk up high, i use it manually once more before dropping the summons>let the attacks connect before using lbs/summons. do not interrupt your dps, that's just a waste of atbs! wait until you see the damage number on the enemy, aka when the attack can't be canceled, and THEN use your lbs/limits>a similar tip to the above applies to the stance switching (when healing on manual): if you have mag ability/ability boost, you do 2x damage when the attack stance is full, so when possible WAIT until both teammates initiate the attack (its name appears above them head or something) and THEN switch the stance to heal, and switch back asap. this might seem a small thing, but you waste a LOT of dps with ability builds when your ai team attacks when you are in the defense stance>finally, during the last seconds of the fight, you should rotate through each character and make them waste their last atb. usually these are 3 4-atb attacks onattack stance, so there's no reason throwing those away unless you're lazy.
