Basically past deletes itself and you have to travel back in time and document everything before it rains and everyone forgets shit happend.
Also lages are part of the society and humans hate them for AN ACTUAL VALID REASON THIS TIME. They cut off the fingers of children to use as catalyst and stuff.
The character design is really good not overly design or disjointed it’s purposeful and creative
