Against plenty of decks there is no reason not to go first, as arven on t2 is functionally the same as arven on t1, except now you can retreat into whatever might be best to stall your opponent, whether it be flutter mane, klefki, or mimikyu. Going 2nd is much more about taking t1 attacks away from aggressive decks like future hands, moon/dunspace, and ancient box.
