The final problem would be the story, I really don't like most aspects of the whole cosmology that was attempted, "the great spirit" felt like a complete joke of a character and it's supposed to be "the real god who's even more of a god than Arceus", it's a spiteful gay twink that wanted to Jew all of humanity and leave them for dead, I really dislike when games try to mess with the already established lore even though I'm really not a fan of Arceus and the lore behind Sinnoh truth be told, the retcon to Megas feels pretty fucking dumb, especially when this game so often brings up Kalos, though I suppose this game is supposed to take place in a different universe sorta? I don't know, it's not well elaborated>The mehI feel like a lot of QoL features should have been available earlier, more easy to access or available at all, I don't know why this game doesn't have nature mints or why the nature changer is locked to the second region behind an absurd 100k pricetag, the IV fixer items are equally as poorly handled, they're extremely rare and are also locked behind an extremely expensive casino pricetag. The other issue is that cities feel pretty barren, I get that if you don't need to pad out stuff you shouldn't, but most locations feel pretty unimportant in the long scheme.>The goodThere's a lot, the small details, the animations, the art, even some of the characters were pretty enjoyable, I'm still laughing my ass off at that Papa Lotto scene. The quests are mostly very well designed and many are pretty memorable.
I love the regional variants, though I wished more was done with a lot of them beyond "dressed like an Indian". The unique starters are very cool, I honestly can't say any of them is bad either in gameplay terms or in terms of design, the fire lemur does take a while to grow and I don't like it's middle stage too much, but it grew on me. Rapid Spin doesn't boost speed.
This game has the weirdest level curve. I don't know if it's because of hardmode or not, but it bounces back and forth between trainers being in the mid 20s and low 30s.
if you do the quest where you bring the princess back to numantia you get the climbing gloves. I think you start it by talking to an npc that looks like the statue I posted earlier, and numantia is down and to the left of the starting town

those statue machops have a disguise ability like mimikyu which seems a bit nuts
so those machop are rock/ghost. we have our first life orb usage on an aerodactyl that liked to spam earthquake, had a rampardos with mold breaker, regional machoke that didn't do a whole lot, a gigalith and something else. it really wasn't terrible except for the big level jump to 37.
