Outside of Charizard and Greninja who would you say is the favored starter by game freak for each generation?

probably Cyndaquil but they’re all treated about the same, Gen 2’s starters rarely get shilled in general
>3
Blaziken
>4
Piplup, they don’t give a fuck about any of the last stages

People who don't pick Oshawott for Gen 5 are fucking retarded.

Something like this I guess
>>
Looking at it know I didn't realize just how much they favored the fire starters. Maybe I'm overthinking but I feel like they're might be some correlation between that and fire types normally being really limited.
>>
>>56105473
Fire starters were the designated cool type in the classic series (i.e. first 4 gens)
>>
>>56105502
Nothing classic about 4 but otherwise, yeah.
>>
>>56105437
If Samurott was liked by GameFreak it wouldn't have gotten a regional form designed to replace it.

>JOHTO
Typhlosion, the only one that got a new form and when G/S were new everyone picked Cyndaquil.
>HOENN
Blaziken because it is the first one that got a Mega, it was one of the first gen 3 Pokemon to be shown before the release of RS and Masuda love Torchic.
>SINNOH
Piplup is extremely popular in Japan.
>UNOVA
Oshawott, similar energy as Piplup and Samurott got a new form.
>ALOLA
Incineroar, the fact that it got added into Smash is enough to consider it the most popular gen 7 starter.
>GALAR
Cinderace, it is Incineroar 2.
>PALDEA
Meowscarada
>>
>>56105517
So, what does that say about Typhlosion?
>>
>>56105437
They do love their Mijumaru
>>
>>56105517
So, in other words, Oshawott got a new evo?
>>
>>56105517
I agree Game Freak doesn't care about Samurott but they love Oshawott. Same with Piplup and Empoleon
>>
>>56105541
That Game Freak hates it, it’s a well known fact that Game Freak didn’t want it to be popular. they literally made it wingless CHARIZARD, banned it from the anime for some reason, gave it nothing for 20 years. If typhlosion (or any Johto starter) has any fans it’s a fluke,
