>>56108419I think GameFreak realized that they made Fighting a joke in gen 1. Not only do they have horrible Special bulk, but they typically have only okay or even bad Defense. they aren't always that fast either. So when the introduced the Special stat split they gave a lot of them good Special Defense to rectify it. This means they can at least Survive Psychic from a lot of mons even if they most likely won't be able to outspeed and/or OHKO in return. gen 2 was all abut nerfing Psychic into oblivion

>>56110828I tend to use either Kingdra, Starmie, or Kingler for water types. I've used Gyarados and Slowbro/Slowking way too much in the past that I try to avoid using them now.
