This pokemon is kinda fucked. It's still decently strong unfused but it unironically feels incomplete. Sucks that they made the lunar and solar power so difficult to get. 10 raids to get enough power to fuse ONCE because if you dare unfuse it get you solgaleo or Lunala back it costs the same to refuse them for whatever reason.

The fusions are essentially going to be unattainable to everyone who didn't play in this event. As I assumed, when you "fuse" the Pokémon storage count doesn't change. So your Lunala or Solgaleo are still in your storage, just hidden.
Figures that in pokemon go fusion doesn't even interact with the one who is being fused (since IVs are from Necrozma too). It's programmed as a form change which hides the required Pokémon and that's it.
I wonder if you can still somehow call upon the hidden Solgaleo and make him oneshot some Zygarde Complete and Palkia Origin with Solar Beam.

I'm not even exaggerating when I say 4 years at least. The necrozma fusions are particularly complex to obtain so if you didn't get them last sunday don't expect to get them ever. You need to wait to get a solgaleo or lunala through whatever means(raid or cosmog) then you need to do TEN dusk mane or dusk wing raids. If Niantic is lazy and doesn't set it up and just let's the random raid rotation take care of it we could get lunala raids 1 year and then dusk mane raids the year after that.

I don't really know why they decided to make obtaining the fusions so difficult. You would have to had to save up 20 raid passes specifically for day 2 of the fest AFTER a gauntlet of 9 different ultra beasts or you could have spent a little money.

I know they tried to make worth it as Dusk Mane and Dusk Wing are like the two most powerful pokemon in the game but still.

There are actually quite a few ways Niantic can go about rerunning Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings, and at worst they’ll rerun it once per year as they did with Cosmog. Maybe it’ll he your usual Cosmog rerun plus an extra 1000 fusion energy of your choice, it could be a raid day/weekend for Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings, etc. It’s not like the Primals or Mega Rayquaza were much easier to get, the only difference was that you only needed one and you could walk it for more mega energy.

I'm thinking its completely arbitrary.

All but 2 of my 8 stops were rejected within 24 hours. the other 2 stops took 4 days for them to reject. out of three appeals (I couldn't appeal more than that for some reason) one went through, the other two were rejected within a day.

If they listed the exact reasons why the submissions were rejected I could at least learn from the process and improve my submissions or better appeal the decisions. but no, the only reason given is "criteria".

and apparently people can catch a ban for making too many stops or somehow abusing the process. since I don't know what the fuck that entails, I'm leery of making any more submissions of the failed submissions.

I remember this I think that's how I have so many regis. All power in Go is accumulative so it makes sense that players that have been playing consistently would be much stronger but when you look back on it you see just how advantaged they were in terms of making progress or gaining levels during certain eras of the game like back when there were weekly legendaries or during covid when they gave out tons remote raid passes.

Niantic is both greedy and stupid for going back on certain things. They wanted to make limit legendaries to raids or research but don't want to increase the rate of rotation so we sit on articuno for 12 days and they don't seem to respect the innovation that is remote raid passes making casual raiding actually a thing.

oh it's pretty hard on new players unless you have stops/gyms that are incredibly easily accessable.

since you only get certain items from either gyms or stops, you have to be real careful how you play, cause you can easily run out of revives, potions or pokeballs. let alone the fact that you'd have to get friends to carry you through your first raids.

You guys remember when the ultra bonuses felt actually rewarding? Previous years we'd get regionals in eggs, Pokémon originally restricted like Mewtwo and Unown being available in normal raids, and at least some cool shiny events or new debuts. Seems like the only thing of significant merit this year is a strong new mega, but that's it. Even the chance at a shiny Unown doesn't feel special anymore...

Can someone help me get rid of these bots in my neighborhood? I've been reporting them for years but nothing has happened.

At all times all the gyms in my area are full of the same five red accounts and if you do manage to take one of the gyms it will be taken back by those same 5 accounts in like 5 minutes at any time of the day with no one showing up to do it. I don't even theres a person still playing them just bots running a program forever

I have a similar problem but it's only one account. What gets me is how fast he can beat my pokemon. I drop a 2k blissey I get the notification that it needs a berry. Feed it the berry, check the gym again it glitches out. In the minute it takes me to restart the game my blissey is out. Last time he did it to my blissey and a 3k goodra someone had there. I very rarely get to hold the gym, I just try to inconvenience him as much as possible. If someone else takes the gym I'll help by dropping a pokemon in there and healing both if I get a notification but he can knock them out so fast that unless a raid saves us, he can take them back stupidly quick.

The same seems to be no different for Pokémon GO. To be fair though, the shiny "economy" for this game is heavily inflated. I doubt we'll see for some time. It's in the game files but how would you go about adding it? It's like a mega but only when you use a Z move. Easiest thing to do would be to make it identical to a mega. Or they wont do it at all and just leave it in the past like Game freak has. I have heard conflicting reports of the in-game photo upvoting working, and then also not working if you immediately like something and then get the gym-adding-stop in, reports of waiting for several days for upvotes to settle in for some kind of “sync” the game does every now and then to actually count upvotes (?), the additional photo system also complicating things but luckily no stops in my area have additional photos, outdated reports of Ingress upvotes being influencing factors and then suddenly not being, to dubious reports of people saying Niantic scrapped the whole system and made gym creation entirely random and that upvotes don’t matter anymore.
Does anyone have any experience in this specific type of field and what gym creating experiments tried were successes and failures when it came to wanting to make a specific stop into a gym? I just don’t want to tread onto uncharted territory but the fact that the game itself has no concrete information to present to you is already hostile, and with the community having to piece together how this mechanic works is difficult. For instance, when I helped create a second gym for another area, I was sure that this one stop would become the second gym because it had the most upvotes, but then when enough stops got added, it didn’t. My only theory was that it was because it became a showcase stop, and I don’t think anyone knows anything about how showcase stops specifically come to be or how they conflict with other things.

I do at least know Showcase stops, if not ineligible to become Gyms, are at least dis-favored.
Near my mom's place, there was a single pokestop in the entire area that ended up being a showcase. When a 2nd one got added maybe back in March, it was immediately made the Gym.
