I'm very underwhelmed by Liko, and I was Liko's #1 champion and defender when she was announced. The best thing about the early days of Ash was that he was ignorant, inexperienced, and had to learn lots of lessons. We got to watch him struggle. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes it was satisfying.Liko has no shortcomings as a character. She has nothing she's wrong about, no misconceptions, no behavior to grow out of. She is literally featureless. She's kind. That's her leading trait. Kindness. I'd criticize the writers for not being able to make an interesting and flawed female character, but Dot is right fucking there! And she doesn't get the time Liko gets! It's such a shame. I think the bad reaction to Goh has convinced the writers to never try to make a flawed main character again.

Grusha was sizing her up and down based on what he has seen as a nudge to his own experience. I am not gonna defend Liko but I hate pretentious post like this one that are too broad and just falling short in accuracy.
