Played the three hours, but realistically only got about 2h 20min worth of Beldum because they were so aggressively and blatantly input reading that the only way I'd get them to stop instantly attacking the moment I'd either tap or let go of the screen was to tranquilize them with the 600+ nanab berries I'd never reasonably have.
At one point I got bored and just long tapped or let go of the ball at random and watched as the same 276cp Beldum immediately attacked at every start or end of interaction.
Then it broke out of two balls instantly and ran away. My mistake for not using exclusively ultra balls on low CP pokemon I guess.

1300 is too low, you're down with the rest of the tanking scum. Try closer to 2k if you can, it'll be a bit harder since you'll still see meta teams, but in general the skill level is far less there. Not that most tankers have any skill mind you, but they're certainly better than the casuals that que into gbl.

Nobody stays down sub 1500 for very long, they either climb up to 2k and struggle to hit ace or quit.

Rape monkey needs a new charge move to be good. Counter is still ok but not when paired with a slow move like shadowball and bad moves like night slash and ice punch.

Would be good again if they gave it shadow claw + cross chop or shadow punch. S.claw+s.punch+cross chop would be pretty good now that punch is getting buffed.

Do you guys think this game is worth getting into? I remember having some fun with it the summer it launched, but I haven't touched it since then. Do you think it's a fun game to play casually or do you have to play it seriously? For reference, I had a ton of fun playing League, but I'd never in a million years recommend it. So I started playing because I walk my dog twice every day and was getting bored. This was back in May. I joined a local group because I was bummed out that I couldn't get a Zapdos or a suicune by myself. Now I go almost every Wednesday to the raid hour and most of the big events. My gf got into it too and she likes going to the raid hour and big events like Rayquaza. I don't play obsessively like some of the people in my group but I'm not playing casually either. It helped too because I kept running out of pokeballs so I started jogging in the summer so I could swipe the 20 stops at the park, which I never do because I live in Phoenix and that involves waking up at 5 am. I still go to the park every morning but not to swipe stops since I don't need items anymore. I'm thinking of doing the 5k race this fall since I'm well below 28 minutes at 90 degree weather
