>>56446119yeah, I've played plenty of other jrpgs. it's probably my most played genre. first of all, there are a TON of jrpgs with sparse cutscenese. secondly, the ones that do have a lot of cutscenes/dialogue tend to have somewhat interesting writing. Pokemon does not. the problem isn't strictly the quantity of dialogue, it's both the quantity AND quality. I don't mind reading a lot if what I'm reading is interesting. SOS and wormhole hunting is great
Ultra Beast was a cool idea and deserves to be a separate game. Probably the most exciting thing about Alola, on par with the Mega Evolutions in XY. The speculation about aliens posing as people like Lillie or Lusamine was more fun than what we actually got in the final game...
