Which is a bad thing.Routes are crammed with schizophrenic encounter tables and it only gets worse when you beat the game and the size doubles. They really should have included a few new areas to include mons from other regions like FRLG did, but of course that would be way too much effort for Gen 6.

Mirage Tower, Desert Underpass, Safari Zone extension, Magma Hideout etc. may not be that important, but not having the Battle Frontier was a major point of contention. On the other hand, HGSS is closer to Crystal than GS and the features missing from Crystal in HGSS like the odd egg and Goldenrod rooftop weren't very significant anyway. Some people on this site complain that HGSS should've changed some of the encounter slots to match Crystal in order to catch an early Phanpy, but people here complain about everything. Even though HGSS copy-pasted the Platinum Battle Frontier, people actually liked the Platinum Battle Frontier whereas most people didn't care much for the Battle Maison in XY. HGSS also added its own unique side-game facility, the Pokeathlon. So naturally the Platinum Battle Frontier in HGSS was more well-received than the XY Battle Maison in ORAS.
