No, entirely because of the mandatory unskippable cutscenes and the GameCube titles do everything it does better. Gen 7 was overall the best of nu-Pokemon (6+) in terms of gameplay, but that's a 5/10 standing out among a bunch of 3/10s. The new Pokemon designs are genuinely my least favorite in the series, and Primarina dethroned Feraligatr as my least favorite starter so hard that I always put it in its own spot on a tier list right below F-tier.
