I remember playing through Black as soon as there was a patch to remove the "no experience during the tutorial" anti-piracy. I couldn't read moonrunes, all the Pokemon were new, a bunch of moves were new, and even old ones like Tackle were redesigned (it was base 50 power 100 accuracy in 5th gen) so I couldn't even tell which moves were returning moves. I played through the game basically bumbling around and exploring a world full of Pokemon, never knowing what I was going to find, not unlike how I did Red when I was a kid. It was a different experience than any other Pokemon game that happened before and since and it had a lasting impact. I think that play through of Black was my favorite single player experience in any Pokemon game.

I've somehow managed to avoid knowing whether the schizo's are pro-unova, anti-unova, or both.Anyway, the leak season and finally playing BW are among my fondest memories of the franchise. I personally really enjoyed there only being new pokemon in the first mainline non-japanese region. Good choice and I wish gamefreak would have continued taking more risks like that.The soundtrack has a lot of memorable tracks and was the last to have a really video-gamey soundfont. Ultimately pokemon is a kids game, but the storyline was a nice break from previous games, and I'm glad they put some effort into developing your childhood friend characters.
