Why didn't RSE look like this?
>>
>>56462030
Why would it?
>>
>>56462038
Because it looks better.
>>
>>56462030
Soulless
>>
>>56462047
No it doesn't.
>>
>>56462030
Because gamefreak are literal hacks that have hilariously worse graphics than games from the same console. The only generations that didn't have dogshit graphics compared to other games on the console are gen 1 and 2, and that was only because other games were also limited on what they can do.

>>
>>56462030
because pokemanchildren deserve shit
>>
>>56462162
Gen 1 looked like dookie don't lie
>>
>>56462162
sure, the graphics were subpar. but name one other game on the GBA with a world the size of Hoenn that could be traversed one end to the other without a single loading screen.
>>
>>56462030
Because gamefreak is incompetent at making games
>>
>>56462247
Huh, that's true. I never realized there were no gates in Hoenn unlike the other of the first 6 gens. Interesting
>>
>>56462162
>This kills the gamefreakshills
>>
>>56462269
Those GBA games on the right all have loading screens separating parts of the overworld. Pokémon doesn't.
>>
>>56462030
This is how nostalgiafags think the games looked.
>>
>>56462030
well we all know it wasn't because they were busy filling it with content, since it's the shortest pokemon game other than RBY.
>>
>>56463061
i'm busy filling your mom with semen, with the shortest penis other than yours
>>
>>56462030
Because that looks worse.
>>
>>56462237
Have you seen most gb rpgs?
Gen 1 and especially gen 2 looked great in comparison.
>>
>>56462030
looks bad somehow
>>
>>56464685
because it's undetailed and amateur
looks worse than dppt spritework by miles
>>
>>56464704
>because it's undetailed and amateur
you mean like gen 3?
>>
>>56462030
>>56464713
This is amateur as hell because it doesn't understand how a grid-based game without diagonal movement should work. The scattered trees may look nice for an artwork but they are an extremely inefficient way to use resources compared with just "tree masses". From a gameplay and usability standpoint, the distinction between walkable path and background is way less clear, and players need to think more to make themselves a mental map of the area. OP's artstyle is arguably neat, but the execution is really shitty
>>
>>56462247
>>56463040
>muh loading screens
I'd much rather play a game with a 0.5 sec loading screen, when you go through a door or an interior, than play one that looks like dogshit with none at all.
>>
>>56462269
Most other games on the Switch look worse than Sword and Shield because Cringetendo refuses to make powerful consoles
>>
>>56465096
And yet you're still playing Pokemon over any of those shitty gameboy games with obstacles blocking everything.
>>
>>56464760
aside from the one tree next to the mart the distinction between walking space and non-walking space is clear, and every path terminates in an obvious way (rock wall, tiles filled completely with objects). you're grasping at straws and moreover you're retarded
>>
>>56465293
I shuffle regularly between pokemon, megaman battle network, and minish cap.
>>
>>56464760
>extremely inefficient
you mean less lazy?
>>
>>56465845
spamming trees everywhere is lazy
>>
>>56464673
>gen 2
lipstick gen
>>
>>56462030
Because it didn't run in a PC almost two decades older than the GBA.
