Bipedalism is the easy way out for all of these, and their redesigns can still do all of what the originals can do in most cases, it just requires non-human animation. Most animations look like human motion capture, even for shit like Charmander. Pokemon generally should animate more diversely. The only thing lost was Chesnaught's hand shield ability, which was pretty stupid anyway.
