It was a compromise that made sense in that all games are on the DS. Emerald is its own thing. XY is it's own thing. Niether are bad, but their not in the golden era, no matter how badly Gen 3 or 6 fags want it to be.The thing is: Emerald can stand on its own. Hoenn fags don't need to clump it into a 'golden age'. XY however... That's how you know it's Kalosfags shitting up the board.
