>>56555949Colosseum isn't difficult. It's only marginally more difficult than the mainline games, which are baby tier. If you rotate your team to purify each new shadow pokemon, you can go the whole game winning everything, no grinding (shadow mons are typically higher level than other stufd you are battling at the time), and purify things quickly to integrate them with your core team if you want. There are plenty of good mons you get, and nearly everything has a better-than-normal moveset once purified. After Pyrite town, you should be near insta-purifying each new shadow mon and either boxing them or using them to start kicking more ass. There is a slight difficulty spike towards the end, but snagging each new thing helps a lot.

The fact you are encouraged to put this level of thought into rotating your team throughout the game is proof enough. That just isn’t required in the GameFreak games, you can keep your team of route 1 shitmons and be completely fine if you aren’t bad at JRPGs. Bosses in Colosseum have much more thought out strategies especially when compared to RSE its mainline counterpart. You can’t tell me the cipher admins don’t make the gym leaders and E4 look like a joke.
