Did Tina get anything in the leaks?
>>
>>56595834
We have confirmation that the weird chimera thing from the DP beta leak is infact Giratina's original design, they were on the same sprite sheet.
>>
There's some lore about how originally it might have been intended to be a shadow of Rayquaza but I don't know if you consider that "getting anything"
>>
There might have been a draft where he was literally killed and split into the fug/groudon/kyogre.

That was just a mistranslation. That was dragonite.

That it was an afterthought in the Creation trio
>>
didn't it pressure arceus out of the shadow realm and prompt it to fuck a human? or was the dark version arceus referring to not Giratina?

that myth has arceus create an alter-ego to help create the world, a titan that coul destroy the boundaries of the universe to expand it. but the that alter-ego turns on arceus. arceus can't defeat it because its a part of it. so arceus turns into a woman and has twins with a dude. the titan kills the dude, and the twins become dialga and palkia to defeat the titan. the titan's body becomes mt. coronet.

Titan != Giratina
Titan(s) (some drafts have multiple) was a primordial being the transcended the creation trio.

>>56595834
The only 'supposed' reference to Giratina is in the original revision of the creation lore where a "God of Darkness" is referenced.

This version of the myth has the same rebellious titan, but seems a lot closer to what Giratina seems to be, being part of a trio with Dialga and Palkia.
>a black giant created by arceus to destroy an egg to release life
>destroys the egg, but continues to destroy the life inside
>palkia and dialga can't bring themselves to fight their brother so they choose a human to do it, creating the lake trio to help him
>the black giant's body becomes the sky, earth and sea, and its soul becomes rayquaza, groudon and kyogre
It all fits with Giratina being "banished" for its violence, being a Ghost-type, residing in an ancient graveyard, and being associated with antimatter.

there are different myths that talk about giants or titans, there's the titan(s) born from arceus' egg, and then there's the titan arceus creates. I checked and they all use the same word in Japanese, kyojin
>>
>>56597343
yeah. In some versions it's a singular titan, it others it's just one. But the common theme is that it's killed by Aus and in most drafts its parts are used to create the world and Ia and Ea.

I guess Giratina could be the 'ghost' of the titan? But after reading the first creation draft with a "god of darkness" being created with Ia and Ea from the titan, it seems like Giratina was intended to be separate from the titan rather than actually being the titan.

The version with the god of darkness seems so far removed from the other versions, not having Arceus, but instead a Ymir-like figure who gets ripped apart by a human god and a pokemon god, that I'm not sure what to do with it. What the heck is a Reek? There's a god of darkness, and a god of shadow?

yeah it's bizarre. creates more questions about the lore than answers. I'm just spitballing, but I suppose that document had 2 proposals for the creation mythos:
1. Shin and Gau, the Human and Pokemon gods
2. Aus, the absolute god
and I guess they built off 2, but as we see in the other drafts there's still influence from the first proposal (titan and creation of the world from its corpse)
>>
>>56597916
I was also wondering why they're even using the term kyojin in the first place, this was long before attack on titan lol. is there a specific connotation to it i wonder in japanese
>>
>>56595834
All I got is that it's more obvious that Giratina just got stapled on to Arceus/Palkia/Dalgia's lore way after its initial conception

This is one of multiple creation myth iterations that includes a reference to Giratina.
