Nothing really changed at all here aside from one of my pokemon evolving. I'm keeping Lotad a lotad so it can learn some better moves, but since the pokemon I have don't really resist fighting or have much power I'm sticking with these two

Here's what I'm going in with. I ended up liking Gulpin more than I thought I would, thought it'd be a monotype shitter but acid spray and PU Punch can get stuff done and it can take hits. Being patient with Lotad, I took away Teeter Dance for Rain Dance for a more consistent advantage. Giga drain is very soon...Combusken is easily the strongest I think

Finally figured out how this dexnav thing works. When you capture something you can fish for overworld encounters and the more times you beat the crap out of the specific pokemon you're looking for, the better the next one will be. Now, my only question is this: why the fuck did Gamefreak remove this feature, it rules. and at the cost of firing shots that can't be taken back, its more fulfilling than how Legends Arceus incentivizes capturing and battling the same pokemon
