>the actual source code for a good few Pokemon games will be available unless the original source code is a mess coded in assembly>this means a decomplication is not necessary>but it also means any projects made using this code are illegalBros... why did we lose so hard?
>>56753682>good few Pokemon gamesThese don't exist
>>56753693not even the sense he used, yawnbro
>>56753693ESL...
>>56753704>>56753707Point out where i'm wrong
>>56753682does it matter? just do it and keep it under the rug, as long as game journos don't talk about it, you are probably fine. Probably.
>>56753693esl retard
>>56753712Point out the gagagawoohmowohm
>>56753721>Smartest pokefag >>56753719You didn't point out where i'm wrong
>>56753682>mfw pokemon code is more than likely held together with spit and ducktape>mfw we know this because iwata helped fix the spaggeti code for crystal>mfw it's more than likely the bulk of the code is pre-made code not owned by them>mfw the formulas, which is the main thing you could extract, are public and have been public for generations>getting worried that it will be "illegal"
>>56753682by that logic all pokemon fangames are illegal
Oh boy, I can't wait to play POKEMON RUBY version NATIVELY on my PC with 0 noticeable difference compared to an emulator.>B-but Anon, muh perfect accuracy gaming! In a turn based game? What the fuck? lmao.
>>56753810Maybe there's some weird RNG manip that works differently depending on the version of C they use when they compile it?
>yawnnigger kvetching in unrelated threads uh oh meltie
>>56753682not even fan art is legal.recalibrate your compas anon.>>56753682
>>56753712He said good in relation to the number of games rather than their quality. Now get back to english class.
>>56753716Impossible given that there's a legion of Poke-acolytes who hunt down anything that isn't beneficial to daddy TPC
>>56753761Different type of offence. That's IP infringement. Making a game using the source code is straight up corporate theft. Their source code is a trade secret.
>>56753682How will they know you used the code?
>>56753693>MUH GRAPHICS fuck off ESL.
>ITT retards pretend to understand game dev
>>56753730"good few" means "a lot", it does not indicate quality.
>>56753682show the code to an ai, train the ai off itthere ip law circumvented
>>56753810there is a pokemon mystery dungeon Gold that is a korean only release for pcit was considered lost media last I checked
>>56754941>Making a game using the source code is straight up corporate theft. It's still IP infringement. Code is protected by copyright, a type of IP law.
>>56753810We have reverse sources for most games up to GBA, but no one had made a PC port, I think its because is not really needed, but it would be neat to have a functional port with proper online functionality or something. Cases like emerald rogue not having BW music because GBA roms can't handle more than 32mb of data would be easily circumvented that way, but on the other hand GB/A emulators run on anything nowadays.
>>56756934<everyone wants BW and BW2 music in their rom hacks>>no one wants to actually play the Unova games
>>56753693MOOOOOM I POSTED IT AGAIN!!!
>>56753682>but it also means any projects made using this code are illegalbro all pokemon fan projects are illegal, the jewtendo legal team just doesn't think they're popular enough to bother taking action yet
>not even an acknowledgement of it being a JammerProHD threadthis place really has gone to shit
>>56753682Are we gonna get LGPE code? It could realistically be reworked into an upgrade over FRLG by simply, removing overworld pokemon, adding random encounters/wild battles, removing the exp share, replacing the rival with Blue, replacing the player with Red/green, replacing the trainer teams with FRLG, adding held items, adding abilities, removing candies, adding EVs, adding new gen evolutions like Espeon, adding gym rematches, adding challenge mode, and adding some kind of battle tower like mode.
>>56753682Just because it's "lawful" doesn't mean it's "good", and vice versa.
>>56756436>>MUH GRAPHICSit's called VIDEOgame for a reason
>>56753682Oh yeah because they care so much about whether your fan game is made with their shit or not when they strike down your project for being too good.
