The entire climax with the Robo-Professor was awkward as hell. So you begin the final story and they make it pretty clear that that you're being tricked by some AI or computer or robot, to release them or activate a super weapon or some other twist, and not the real professor. But then you reach the bottom and it's all like "Yes I was a robot tricking you, but I'm actually nice." which deflates all the buildup. But then they realize they need a final boss so suddenly it's back to "Oh no! You have to change my settings from "good" to "evil" to turn off the Time Machine!" So it's like what was even the point of not just having the robot be evil the whole time? And then you beat the evil robot and they of course switch back to good mode. It's just this bizarrely unnecessary back and forth for no real reason.
