I've done a complete 180 on the game in the spam of about 2 hours. Played through the entire soft launch and then just had a run of impossible mathematics defying shit luck and all of the game's problems suddenly stuck out like a sore thumb. The game is genuinely, legitimately unplayably bad. Your deck options are 'rush down' (Articuno/Pikachu/Blaine) or backbench stall (Venusaur/Dragonite/Alakazam/Charizard). And the nature of this means that your wins and losses boil down to exclusively two things. Did you draw Sabrina and did your opponent draw a basic Pokémon they can throw to the wolves to make your Sabrina worthless? That's it. Thats the entire game. It will be dead completely before Christmas. I guarantee it.

When you flip a coin, I’ve found it better to try and flip it short and aim for heads, rather than flicking it as hard as you can, also, when the opponent flips a coin, you can actually flick it and you’ll see you have a slight effect on the movement of the coin. If you have Koffing and Weezing, Weezing is a beast that can poison the enemy's active pokemon for free. Another tried and true option is Rattata and Raticate, both of which are dirt cheap and easy to use. Farfetch'd is a solid one too for the same reason, though it's more frail than Raticate. You could also just throw in more trainer cards or fossils, since you're guaranteed a basic pokemon in your starting hand. Just use what you can and tough it out.
