I see people flailing about pronouncing Arceus. They took two elements: "Arche-" and "-eus". The "arch-" (pronounced "ark") in Greek means top, or highest. The "-eus" they claim to have borrowed from "Zeus". In English we pronounce this "Zoose", but in ancient Greek this was pronounced "DZEH-oos". So then going by the JPN spelling, the name should be pronounced "ARK-eh-oos". Part of the confusion is that in English, we also have the Latin word ending "-eus" which we pronounce "-ee-us". So we look at "Arceus" and want to say "ARE-see-us" or "ARK-ee-us". We should pronounce it "ARK-eh-oos" to match the JPN and ancient Greek, but that's a mouthful, so we'd probably shorten it to something that sounds like "ARE-kay-us" (sounds nearly identical to RKS)
