If your opponent doesn't one-shot it they probably have to chew through 240 HP. And Giovanni and Potions are really high value on it. And it only costs 1 energy. I think Aerodactyl is slightly more niche but still strong.

Your main strength is being a bit overstatted and having a good evolution curve (squirtle attacks for 1, wartortle for 2, blastoise for 3). To complement it you probably want a good selection of self-sufficient Basic pokemon, Bruxish is a decent one, Farfetch'd, Lapras maybe, Kangaskhan. Or just Articuno.

Ok, so I tested the flap strat twice. First roll is on the left and I had two packs with bent flaps, the second one I checked every single pack and only the one shown had a bent flap. Both mediocre packs, so I'm not sure what's the criteria, or if people just got very lucky, but it might be worth continue testing it out with the daily packs just to have more data.

>>56826190Best I've come up with is just Weezing and Hypno. Stall is surprisingly consistent because of how small the decks are and how many chances you have to stall between Dugtrio, and Koga. Dugtrio and Weezing only need 1 energy to attack so you don't get screwed too often by dual energy. It does surprisingly good against Pikachu and Mewtwo because of the type advantage but loses to basically every other deck.

Not running an EX means you afford 2 KOs, they can only Sabrina 2 times to get around your Dugtrio either way. The 3rd KO is hard to get when your against a coin flip for Dugtrio and 2 Hypnos.

A supporter that attached one energy from your discard pile to one of your pokemon would really smooth out the game. There are no energy cards in your deck or hand like the main TCG but if you tap your discard pile it lists discarded energy, so it IS something that's kept track of.This would let decks besides Misty's Casino and Pikachu's Circle Jircuit have a chance of landing a fucking attack if they go first. Even with fun deck vs. fun deck it feels like there's at least a 70:30 advantage if you go second.Ideally there would be some built in solution to it but I can't really think of one. It would kind of suck when you didn't draw the card but since you couldn't really use it until something was knocked out or you retreated you would have time to find it in those few turns.Also notably this helps out non-ex decks more since they get knocked out faster and need to power up more attackers over the course of a game.

If you're playing a deck that requires set up and might get btfo by a Sabrina then you can throw down a fossil as protection against it, and once it turns into a liability Sabrina can exploit you can just discard it at no loss. I've been testing lists with Old Amber, and it's come in clutch at times. It's better than Red Card at least.

A lot of the time you don't even want or need their evos in the deck, tge fossils are just there to protect against Sabrina and then duscard themselves once they've outlived that usefulness. But, that's why I mentioned Amber specifically. If you did want to include the evos in the deck then Aerodactyle is the most splashable of the fossils. Unlike the other two, you don't need to evolve twice to be useful. The attack is a little lackluster but two energy to potentially shuffle away a Charizard isn't nothing. Dome I feel like is the next best option, if you're aiming to evolve them. His sustain is very good. And I just don't think water decks benefit from Helix at all, honestly.
