The design docs have a part where they're discussing locations for the cast to visit, with the idea they shouldn't go to every region in order to limit overlap with the last ash series and the only locked in regions at the time is paldea and galar. But next they mention kalos because of "ikkaku" (which seems to be the codename for z-a) but another guy says they should go to kitakami because of "su" and I can't figure out what su is unless it's a shortened version of the legends arceus codename of hayabusa. I guess the interesting part is between this and the conversation about what exceed does it seems like at some point in development there was supposed to be a plotline already introduced by now that would have given a reason to travel to kalos. The exceed part specifically was about them producing mega rings to build up to going to kalos.

Obviously the original two seasons are unbeatable in comedy with the dynamic trio, in addition to Team Rocket, the ultimate theater thespians, and last but not least, Togepi. We can't forget about Togepi's scathing commentary every time the gang's plans go awry. In Horizons, however, it is more about the wonderment Liko experiences whilst being swept away in the adventures of that professor guy and crew. They clearly strike a different tone while maintaining a level of quality expected from OLM, with other recent hits such as Dark Gathering and Apothecary Diaries, to name a couple. We can even see stark contrast from Indigo league with how competent this generations villains are. No more are we seeing Team Rockets formulaic (and funny) entry only to have their ill-constructed plans fail at the drop of a hat. We are instead seeing a real threat to the game that creates a sense of suspense that we aren't used to in the older Pokemon generations, and I find it mildly thrilling I guess

If you apply Terapagos into the equation of Gibeon's circumstances you'll get a few lined up consistencies. Gibeon traveling through time with the help of a Terapagos would explain why he is locked up in the room filled with the smoke. It would explain why he sends out his grandson to gather an object that creates a similar mist. And with the knowledge that Rakua, something from the past, is covered in pink mist under the bit that the anime turtle perks up when the name of that place or Lucius is mentioned, it would also explain why Gibeon would seek it out instead of any of the six heroes. He wants Terapagos for something related to timetraveling, him landing in this timeline from the past covers a fair amount of gaps.

Judging by how Terapagos was the one to filter the stuff out of Umbreon when Spinel spiked it, it doesn't seem like it's temporary but rather long-lasting. I always keep in mind what theory covers how many bases, and while Rakurium is aside from causing Pokemon to get enraged and a performance enhancer an unknown variable. As the story of Lucius and Rakua gets untangled, the location gets dismantled from the initial perception of being a paradise, like if Rakurium makes everyone go berserk and Rakua is dozed and covered with it then it would be either deserted or one of the most aggressive settlements in the Pokemon World.
