Is Liko's anime worth watching? I liked the first episode because it was about a shy girl struggling to make friends in Pokémon school. I was pretty meh on the second episode because the grass cat oneshotting the ghost sword armor with Leafage was peak AIM FOR THE HORN shounenslop where there's no stakes and the hero always wins because she hopes hard enough.

It aimed the attack in Amethio's direction, and Ceruledge jumped in and DEFLECTED the attack and the storm of leaves pushed everyone off the ship. The powerful Leafage was one-time thing meant to reflect Liko letting go of her fears and choosing to confront the antagonists instead of just passively submitting to them. You can expect Sprigatito's strength to be depicted realistically (for the most part), and the strength of the trainers overall is built very slowly and gradually.Don't go into this expecting Ash anime though, trainer battles and Pokemon catches are less common than in the old anime.

Regardless of what the text actually means, the writing team theoretically COULD agree on homoeroticism being "canonically" at play, but then obviously only imply it with what they actually show. Apparently they were going to bring back a bunch of old characters but from what I can see they’ve been totally scrapped. Raihan was clearly changed to Kabu. Don’t know why they kept the Hammerlocke stuff in the final release though. Definitely explains why Hammerlocke was mentioned for no reason.

There’s still an Entei on the loose that no one has a clue to look out for. The Zygarde VS Rayquaza rematch from the leaks is also right there in the opening, so for all intents and purposes the timeskip could very well be the next arc.

While I don't think the timeskip is happening anymore, I do get the impression that the plot is being backloaded into the last 60 episodes or so, given the slow pacing and reveals. They might have kept the idea of the show having a part 1 and a part 2. Just not sure what the latter will look like in place of the timeskip.

The first SV arc was supposed to be right after the group recruit Roy, and then it leads directly into the Galar arc, then they come back to Paldea for a glorified ad for SV where some of the contents would be covered like the school, the teachers, some gym leaders, and some Pokémon. They specifically said no to the SV dragons showing up also. As for the DLC, it was supposed to be covered in a more abridged way, in fact they compare it directly to the SWSH arc in JN. However it wasn’t going to take place in Blueberry or Kitakami, but instead Paldea. The Terapagos Shine arc wasn’t mentioned in the docs at all. By December 2022 they only had the main plot up to the 3rd Hero (Lapras), the main plot for the Rakua arc, the lore for Rakua, and minor details about the timeskip. Stuff like the Spinel arc, Terapagos Shine, and this current Kitakami arc weren’t mentioned at all.
