My main issue with it was the insane obsession the dev had with anti-cheat, He silenced all talks of the game not requiring servers and being always-online specifically so it would be harder to cheat. He insisted that his automated anti-cheat system was perfect and despite banning hundreds of people he refused to budge that any of them were false positives. It was only after several gaming sites started posting news articles about innocent people getting banned that the dev reluctantly relented about it and unbanned some of them, still refusing to accept the were false positives by the way.

This also only lasted up until the heat died down, then he went right back to going full hog on auto-banning people and silencing any criticism of it on the forums, such as here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/745920/discussions/0/3271314133304683933/

Doesn't help that the game is also very buggy resulting in said innocent bans. I recall one person posting a video showing that the game bugged and sent his character out of bounds, which resulted in a ban, that IIRC the devs refused to undo.

And the worst part is that being banned in Temtem actually counts as a VAC ban on your account. I find it absurd that Valve allows third party games like that to be part of their VAC system, especially when the dev is a ban-happy idiot who silences criticism about any false bans.

so in xy_pokemon, I looked at some models. Quads and all that, its good.
Now, there's two sets of textures, the 512x512 textures, and the 2048x2048 textures.
Except, the 2048 textures have a completely different layout from the 512 textures, its not just a downscale. They're incompatible with every model I looked at.
Are those the zbrush textures? (dunno what else they'd fucking be, and the vm doesn't have zbrush on it)
Because if so, we got screwed because there's barely any zbrush models here but every single fucking pokemon here has 2048 textures.

The Korrina battle you're talking about is purely optional and isn't required for progression in any way, so that's an invalid comparison. BW has you catch the dragon opposite N's for story purposes; it shows that N isn't the sole pure-hearted individual worthy of them, which Ghetsis hadn't anticipated, and that N's ideology is flawed. The game does put the dragon at the front of your party, but it's not a 1v1 - it's a 6v6. So, this doesn't really compare, either. Legends Arceus is not only a game with a different battle system where it's possible to move multiple times before your opponent moves even once, but again, this is not a 1v1 - it's at worst a 6v7.

Another thing you are overlooking is stats. Koraidon/Miraidon have 135 Speed, and 135 in their favored attacking stat, plus an Ability that provides them a damage boost, and a further stat boost on top of that. It's a forced 1v1 - you are not able to use your other Pokemon AT ALL, unlike the Volo and N examples you tried to use, and it's required for progression, unlike the Korrina example. Let's say that it wasn't scripted. Let's also say that both Pokemon have reasonable moves.

You know what happens? Whichever Koraidon/Miraidon moves first wins, because of the ridiculous power behind their moves. It's a fucking coin flip. It's the same reason that in SM, Hau was given the starter weak against yours: because starters in that generation started with their STAB moves, and you would not be able to win if he had the one with a type advantage.

I would hesitate to call it lazy, but it is definitely a byproduct of poor planning. The only reason the 2nd one even exists is so that you can actually use the legendary on your box no strings attached, it doesnt exist at all in the story until like halfway into the final area. When your dragon is in bike mode it cant be called for battle, and after this 1v1 where you get the ability to swap it into your party while forgoing its mobility, it cant be boxed or traded on account of it needs to be able to be your bike. So to remedy this, after the 1v1 and the credits, the 2nd one can be found and caught at the bottom of Area Zero. You might be able to have 2 of them in your party at the same time sometimes, but the one you ride around on will forever be entombed to your save file.
