Even Ampharos only became part Dragon with its Mega. Its Japanese name, Denryuu, from 電流 (Electric Current) can also be seen as a pun on 電竜 (Electric Dragon) denryuu. But they could also play the ambiguity card and have the ryuu refer to 流, a current or flow of flowers. Later moves like Petal Blizzard or Leaf Storm come to mind.
