Why do Americans need so much stuff censored from a children’s franchise? Do they think that American kids are just more fragile than Japanese kids?
>>

Boomers coddled their kids

Why is she naked in the first place

It's funny how America lives rent free in the minds of every other person living in whatever shithole they call home.
At least pick the Rocket's Grimer edit. It's both funnier and makes less sense, thus 'proving your point' better.
>irises moved so that it doesn't seem like Grimer is looking up a girl's skirt.
>thus avoiding any controversy
And then Evangelical Conservatives just say it teaches kids witchcraft anyways.

The fuck is 'magi-nation duel'?
>>
>>56885259
Something less heckin problematic, that’s for sure.
>>
>>56885155
People are constantly afraid that their impressionable youth will emulate their media, and violence is an easier subject to bring up and talk about than sexuality. That and evangelical leaders wanting conformity and to stamp out any aspects of exploration, rebellion, or loss of faith. Hence demonizing Pokemon.

Also people need to realize the difference between fiction and reality. Drawings don't need to be defended, they're not real.

Magi-Nation was an old monster collection game, and Magi-Nation Duel is a card game based on the video game. I remember this because I ripped out the battery in my copy of Magi-Nation to replace the dead one in my Crystal version, way back when.

I was gonna say it’s a mix of both feminist and hyper religious being the (extremely) vocal minority as well as boomers in old media ready to make a scandal out of anything …but the jp art doesn’t even make sense! Why is the art for Misty’s tears her standing around naked holding staryu ?
What did they mean by this?

This was my second guess.

Have you not been paying attention to Disney or Netflix in recent years, or are you just obsessed?

>>56885161

>coddled

You probably still believe in Russia collusion and "hands up, don't shoot."

>Have you not been paying attention to Disney or Netflix in recent years, or are you just obsessed?

You just posted two examples of companies that still censor things made for kids.

What did you think you were achieving here?
>>
>>56885155
Yes, America has had constant moral panics about how everyone is coming for your kids and it works every time.
It's a mix of individualistic mentality about children being property, religion, and fearmongering to keep people glued to the TV news.

In Japan, and frankly America when boomers were kids, parents let their kids do stuff by themselves all the time and don't consider every person outside their shitty suburb to be an evil satanic savage who wants to eat their children.
>>
>>56885155
Why she naked though?
>>
>>56886085
Hint:
Why is she crying?
>>
>country founded by people who were weird about sex
>surprised they're weird about sex
They aren't sending their brightest.
>>
>>56885248
>Who even looks at this art and then thinks about looking up skirts?
Only a serial degenerate. This says more about Americans than the japs
>>
>>56886087
She is crying because she's naked?
Naked people cry?
>>
>>56886087
>Hint:
>Why is she crying?
Because she's sacrificing Staryu. Do you have to be naked to perform rituals?
>>
>>56886118
stay pure

>>56886127
you have no sense of humor
>>
>>56886127
>Do you have to be naked to perform rituals?
Depends on the ritual. Some may require you to be naked, others may require you to wear ritual implements. I presume Misty knows what she's doing if she's naked to sacrifice Staryu here.
>>
>>56886085
Because in Japan, nudity can symbolize purity.
>>
>>56886197
Still makes no sense. I mean what does purity have to do with anything? If it was something like “soul of the pure” from yugioh (which is clothed in jp) it might make some sense but it’s not, it’s just Misty. Did I miss something here? Did Nintendo retcon her as a Shinto goddess at some point or something? The more I think about this cards art the more confused I get!
