Especially since most of the Megas are post game anyway it makes the Mega Evolution build up all the more flaccid. Fucking ORAS uses Megas more effectively than XY does. It's such a fundamental issue that it bogs down a game with a lot of things going for it like the largest regional dex in the series or the best customization options to dateThe last one is really egregious since the shota homunculi of SV are basically interchangeable automatons that there's no reason to even have a Gender/Body Type option anymore

Looking at the leaks, it is nice to see how closely their artwork matched the world (the North half anyway). They made a-lot of art for different building styles, statues, plants or decorations for every major area. Gens 8-9 are too reliant on massive "Open World!" fields with poor detail + technical hiccups holding them back.Gen 7 didn't look bad exactly, but it's a tropical region with less environments than Hoenn.
