The GBA didn't have a calendar so Pokémon caught in those games wouldn't get a met date until they were transferred to gen IV, which would assign the date of the transfer. Which was fine, except that then when you transferred them to a gen V game, that date would get overwritten to the date of the new transfer. It's so stupid. The "oldest" Pokémon I have now is a random Japanese Pawniard instead of any of the mons I caught or transferred to gen IV.

This. If not in Home itself, at least a companion app or series of apps that comes with a Home subscription. Nintendo Switch Online has a bunch of extra features like the retro games and the music app, Home's sub should have more to offer than just a storage app with a GTS that doesn't trigger trade evolutions.

Also give us a Pokédex for ribbons and marks. Yes I know that will piss off people who don't have the Orre games, but that should be their motivation to port them to modern consoles already.

Just take advantage of them. Home's hack checking isn't very good. You can take a regular Vivillon and change it to the Pokeball pattern in pkhex then upload it. Many people post trades for Pokeball Vivillon not seeking an actual trade, but instead just to show off a Pokemon they own thinking the trade will never happen. You can then steal their Pokemon.
