Are you telling me you really can't throw together a Koga trap deck, or a Primeape deck w/ the very achievable promo mankey, or a Rapidash/Arcanine deck after a few days and with some pack points? I find that hard to believe, and I didn't mention any of the typical EX decks. And if you get that unlucky at the outset you can just reroll the account

Modern MtG (ESPECIALLY online) is fucked from every direction.
But I maintain that it's still an excellent game to play with friends or just people who aren't turbofaggots.
The extensive rules allow for a lot of expression in deckbuilding, and when everyone agrees not to run the staple meta picks games can be really fun.

But I suppose that's not a great argument since most games tend to be a lot better when you're in good company.

Online has just ruined the TCG experience by streamlining things to the point where you can't even talk to opponents now. Tabletop games were meant to facilitate interaction. When you face the same 3 netdecks over the course of 20 games it's just exhausting.
