>>56947340I highly recommend GSC as the best introductory Pokemon game. The tutorial section is over quickly and it doesn't take long to get to the open part of the game. They're also the easiest games in the series with a lower power level than Yellow so you don't need to grind if you don't change your team composition often (because wild Pokemon levels are also much lower than NPC trainers). Your trained Pokemon are stronger than NPC trainers thanks to invisible stat gains on level-up, so you can even beat the final boss while underleveled as long as you stick with the same team through the second half of the game.Also, the region and graphic design nailed that comfy "countryside stuck in the past" vibe, so bonus points if you're into that kind of nostalgic atmosphere.

>>56947306Actually this. Its not even nostalgia at this point where i just fire up the game every so often either for a new run or to just fuck around with one of many things the game provides. Its a raw, unadulterated, fun videogame and a near perfect sequel.

>>56954765Nah, I've always liked the lil bean and the playthrough's easy enough that it really doesn't matter too much what your starter is. Becoming Totogang doesn't make me love Chikorita any less. All three Johto starters are damn based, really.
