It's infuriating that they created this shitty move instead of distributing Volt Tackle
>>
>>56960262
Why?
>>
It's kinda wild this move has existed for rather long(since gen 5) and Thunder Punch which has 15 less base power is still a strong contender for the slot
>>
>>56960262
Sorry, can't have Pikachu from KANTOOOOOOOOOO getting over shadowed

>Buff Wild Charge to 120 BP
>Buff Volt Tackle to 150 BP
There, now Wild Charge isn't dogshit and Volt Tackle is an even more absurd nuke.
>>
>>56960332
I would be okay with this too.
>>
didn't the electric jump kick clone make wild charge obsolete
>>
Don't forget the shallow movepools as well!
Fuck Game Freak.
>>
>>56961184
it's technically an upgrade but having less than 100 acc and losing half your health if you miss or the opponent switches a ground type is still a steep cost. The older physical electric type that gained is still unviable garbage even in ZU and few good physical electrics either use their sig move for their main STAB or settle for Wild Charge or fucking Thunder Punch.
>>
>>56960262
In Legends at least it can paralyze. I think it's like a 30% chance or something like that. They should have brought that forward into the main series.
>>
>>56960332
This makes way too much sense so it's never going to happen. You will be stuck with Wild Charge and you will be happy.
>>
>>56961184
In theory, it should. In practice, Supercell Slam is a move you NEVER want to use, because it's far too easy to play around, and the cost is too high. Jump Kick only has one type to worry about, and moves that would make it miss; Supercell Slam has the same moves to worry about, but also

Wait, those cause you to take damage too? Fuck Supercell is even worse than I thought

ah what the fuck game freak.
>>

Yep. If the target has an Ability that grants it immunity to the move, it's counted as a miss, and the user loses half their maximum HP.
>>
Is the problem the lack of electric legendaries and their comparative rarity? When you think about it its elemental pairs in ice and fire were similar in Gen 1 in terms of move distribution and availability, but fire was able to develop more in what followed for being a starter type and having more legendaries, and ice because it was a utility type to deal with dragon and for a desire to tweak it.

It's too risky when ground is one of the best and most prevalent types in the game.

>pre gen 8 physical electric types will forever have to contend with being shitmons because GameFreak will never go back and give them signature moves, something that's a staple of almost every new physical electric type aside from absolute trash like Boltund and the electric Paradoxes
>>
>>56960262
Volt tackle actually sucks to use if you've ever tried using it. 1/3 recoil is a whole fucking lot especially if you try sweeping with it. It works on light ball Pika because he's a glass cannon anyways. He's not going to survive that second hit either way.

Gen 7. Togedemaru got Zing Zap, and Zeraora got Plasma Fists.
>>

huh
