Lyra is severely underrated and deserves more art, especially in the Rocket outfit. Dawn is Dawn, Platinum design is perfect for Sinnoh and probably the most iconic character design besides Red. ORAS May is perfectly dressed for the weather, while original and Emerald May are second only to Dawn in icon status. Leaf is very basic and simple, but pulls it off in the same way Red does. Kris is the OG, we owe everything to her, and while she's probably my least favorite aside from Juliana, it's not her fault and only because they cooked so much after her.

>>57019581Honestly I get that, during the early parts of my first playthrough of SV I was having less fun than even SWSH, but I got a lot of appreciation for the game after the endgame, DLC, and the ease of building teams for VGC. I played VGC off an on since Gen 6, but was always super limited in my options due to how long breeding for IV's and EV training took then. Especially when using restricted mons, you'd have to soft-reset with a Synchronize mon for ages to get a usable legendary in competitive. Now in SV, you can build whole boxes or VGC and Raid ready pokemon in less time than it took to breed a single team previously. The improvements for online players cannot be overstated, but for single-player only players, it makes sense that it wouldn't be a favorite. I still think even disregarding the online content, it's still a better SP experience than SWSH
